| $8500 is quite a price. May I ask why so much? I once talked to a show breeder who knowing the health issues these tiny guys can have, would charge much less than her standard sized babies due to the medical issues they would have in their futures. How do you feel about that? You mentioned in your other post that you would only sell to someone familiar with the smaller sized dogs, so you are aware of their special needs. I'm not trying to insult in any way, just curious how you justify your prices. Do you have a website? |

I see so many people wanting to buy tiny babies as accesories rather than pets (thanks to paris hilton, jessica simpson, and others.) Most of them have no clue about a tiny puppy they just want it under their arm! I refuse to sale him for that purpose! I want someone who knows about tiny puppies. I feel if someone pays this price for him they will take VERY good care of him. I posted earlier and it was deleted b/c I didn't put all info that was needed (being a newbie) The only problem I have with him is his soft spot. I also have a vet as a verbal refrence.

| Can you tell people looking what kind of health testing you have had done on him and does he have a health guarantee? Is he screened for heart problems, liver shunt, hydro (especially with an open font and wide set eyes) and bad stifles, and thyroid? These are the more common problems with very very tiny Yorkies and I'm sure the price would reflect the testing costs of all this. |

| He is an absolute doll and I am sure you will find the right home for him. I commend you in your reasoning for asking a lot!! I think these little ones need extra protection and you are right to want him to go to someone who will appreciate his "value" and take care of him. I have three that are between 3 and 4 lbs. Just curious if he was free whelped and how many were in the litter? Good luck! |

I know that my vet tested him for liver shunt as well as his parents and grandparents. I am going to get my vet to fax over all the tests that he has been checked for. I plan to scan and upload this for everyone to see. I hope this will help anyone who has ?'s. Plus I do not want to say or claim anything I can't prove 100%

| He is very cute! I hope you find him a good home. Not meaning to offend, but I figured I might as well throw in my 2 cents on the price. When I first saw it I figured, since most people don't have that much money lying around, the 3 types of people that would probably buy him would be 1) looking for show (for which he is too small for regs), 2) breeding machine to make money on his small, expensive puppies, or 3) People exactly like Paris Hilton who would just as soon drop 9k on a purse as a dog. Just my thoughts I do hope you find him a nice, loving family though. Good luck! ~LeAnn |

| As breeders, we are free to ask any amount for our pups. Who is to say what a dog is worth to the person buying it? The buyer must be made aware of the problems with the extreme tinies..they can be perfectly healthy, but daily life is not easy for them..most are so fortunate to live 5 years. I do not consider a pup in the 3 pound range a "extreme" tiny..I am talking about the 1 and 2 pounders..life deals them a short hand most of the time. Most pet owners are not able to devote each day to the needs of these Yorkies..they have jobs and a life to live..believe me this is not the type pet who thrives on travel and a hectic come and go life..they need a strict routine and the slightest stomach upset, bout of loose stools will send them to the vet..be prepare for routine vet bills. The buyer is informed and the decision is theirs. For my peace of mind, I give these type away or (ask a small fee) to a person I can trust to devote their life to keeping the pup well...I have had 4 this size and hope to never see one again..well, let me take that back. I enjoy seeing them when someone else owns them..I do not want to own one. Best wishes Last edited by YorkieRose; 10-03-2005 at 03:50 AM. |

| My husband bought me what was called a "TEACup" yorkie. He was 12 weeks old and we had to return him 3 days later after he had 5 seizures! We then had to sue the "breeder" to get our money back. I was heartbroken even though I had him only 3 days. I advise anybody not to get these extremely small dogs.I now have a healthy 6 lb. Yorkie and he is wonderful. And he did not cost me over $2000. |

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | WOW - No offense... but after seeing the price of your puppy & the picture - while he is cute - I think you aren't giving the real yorkie lovers in the world a chance. Your are making your price SO HIGH your puppy WILL only go to someone who has more money than sense. Those that can afford the average price are perfectly equipped to care for a small dog and saying only rich people should have one to me is very biased. Why EIGHT THOUSAND for a very average looking yorkie puppy ? I see one member loves your price - but I think the general population is in awe of it.... Good luck.... but I've seen perfectly adorable yorkies at less than 1/4 of what you are charging. To me...you are capitalizing on the small dog craze and you probably will only sell to someone who wants a fashion accessory....the average dog LOVER is smarter than that. |

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | As I said - good luck again and I hope my post didn't offend you. May I ask why you think someone would steal your pictures? .... and why not post pictures of his parents also ? He's very dark in color and I'm very curious as to what they look like....at 10 months he would have most of his true colors coming in ...Are his parents dark also ? |
