As breeders, we are free to ask any amount for our pups. Who is to say what a dog is worth to the person buying it?
The buyer must be made aware of the problems with the extreme tinies..they can be perfectly healthy, but daily life is not easy for them..most are so fortunate to live 5 years. I do not consider a pup in the 3 pound range a "extreme" tiny..I am talking about the 1 and 2 pounders..life deals them a short hand most of the time.
Most pet owners are not able to devote each day to the needs of these Yorkies..they have jobs and a life to live..believe me this is not the type pet who thrives on travel and a hectic come and go life..they need a strict routine and the slightest stomach upset, bout of loose stools will send them to the vet..be prepare for routine vet bills.
The buyer is informed and the decision is theirs. For my peace of mind, I give these type away or (ask a small fee) to a person I can trust to devote their life to keeping the pup well...I have had 4 this size and hope to never see one again..well, let me take that back. I enjoy seeing them when someone else owns them..I do not want to own one.
Best wishes
