				   | Never mind..............it's there! Well, who is responsible for making up this list? Ever since all the recalls (and by the way, it hasn't stopped either) it seems we see more and more advertizements on pet food. The companies that had recalls must have lost a great deal of money and are trying to get it back. I'm so thankful I home cook and have peace of mind. All that dried up kibble in bags is NOT real food. I wouldn't feed my dog anything that I wouldn't eat, and I certainly wouldn't eat dog food. You know what would be an interesting field trip for all of us to do would be to pick one of the dog food companies, call them, try to get a tour of the plant where the food is made, and get as much information as possible and share here what you find out. First, make sure you let everyone know first which one you want to check out so it isn't repeated by someone else. Who's up for this? |

I also brush thier teeth with an electric tooth brush. Then I take Q-tips, dip them in Crest mouth wash and rub all over their teeth and gums. | |

I think Orijen was too new - I bet it will be on there next year. They spend months compiling the lists. Also, the list itself doesn't give all the information. There are certain formulas they endorsed and others they didn't. Half of them have notes on them, stating whether they think they are a great food or just acceptable. They also have an entire article prior to the list that explains how to determine if YOUR food is good or not and what to look for. The Feb. issue always has the dry food list. The canned food list is in the March issue. Trust me, it's worth the $20 subscription.

				   | I just tried Gracie on the Pinnacle canned. She lapped it up. Will see what happens tomorrow, and the next day......

				   | I'm glad to see Canidea on there......since we started feeding Mojo (and Lily when she came to us) this, his coat has improved dramatically - so much so that the groomer and vet commented on it.........YAY! I thought about getting that subscription, but just haven't done it yet.
