I'm so thankful I home cook and have peace of mind. All that dried up kibble in bags is NOT real food. I wouldn't feed my dog anything that I wouldn't eat, and I certainly wouldn't eat dog food.
You know what would be an interesting field trip for all of us to do would be to pick one of the dog food companies, call them, try to get a tour of the plant where the food is made, and get as much information as possible and share here what you find out. First, make sure you let everyone know first which one you want to check out so it isn't repeated by someone else.

I just sent for the Pitcairn book so that I can start homecooking for Kalina. I was wondering though - I have heard that eating homecooked food is not good for their teeth because they need hard food to chew? Is that true?
