| Food or Kitchen Accidents Anything painfully hilarious happen to you guys before worth sharing? Yesterday i was eating a sandwich with some of those little pickled yellow chili peppers. I took a bite into one and somehow the juice squirted up and out, and made a U turn right into my eyeball. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be as soon as it happened, but I did cry a little bit.

I cut my finger once when I was a pre teen cutting some sausage for my brother. I about passed out. It was a cut about 1/4" long and 1/100" deep. I was so mad at my brother for making me cut him sausage!

| I just put a big blister in my palm from digging out staples, with a screwdriver, from the dining room chairs so I can upholster them, but now I'll have to take them into town and let a guy I know that does upholster, do the chairs for me, and had to wear rubber gloves to give the girls a bath. In the kitchen I turned the oven on at 425 degrees and about 15 minutes later when I opened the oven door to put the salmon in, there sat my big skillet. Lucky for me it was cast iron, but it sure was a hot one.

| I do NOT like spicy foods, but my boyfriend does. So I was trying to make him quesadillas with jalapenos. After I cut up the jalapenos, I made sure to wash my hands really good! But my contacts were bugging me so I took them out.... My eye was on fire for 1/2 an hour!!!!! On the bright side..... apparently my quesadillas were good .

| We have more of a kitchen *issue* more than a mishap.....We tend to buy groceries faster than they get consumed. So, expiration dates tend to be important to take note of. The worst thing you can hear is...."You didn't eat that did you?!".....My usual response when asked this is, "Wellll, what's today?"..... And that is usually followed by a cuss word.....

When I was in middle school, I was standing around with my friend at lunch time. A boy was nearby trying to stomp on a packet of mustard. Well it burst, and guess who it got on? He ran away as soon as it happened, so I didn't actually see who it was. Plus the initial shock of getting mustard squirted all over you. I was so mad! I had to spend the rest of the day smelling like mustard.

| Well..... There was the catching of my sleeve episode on the kitchen door handle, which made the plate of spag bol shoot all over the new cream carpet in our dining room .... Then there was the dropping of the leg of lamb fiasco onto the kitchen floor when I took it out of the oven - so I gave it a rinse and served it anyway .... Oh, and there was a Christmas Day incident when I forgot to take the bag of giblets out of the turkey and the whole thing exploded.... x |
