| I saw a psychiatrist I have really felt like I am going crazy. I posted about some of what has been going on here: http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/sho...highlight=move I don't think going to see him was the smartest thing I've ever done. He made me feel even worse about everything. Besides, he seemed loonier than I feel like I am. So I am going to talk to DH about having the house blessed. To hell with what the neighbors think. I can't keep going like this.

Blessing the house is a great idea. Is there a pastor you know who could come over, too? I know there are several pastors around here who do that. They go through the house room by room, praying. It's actually pretty cool. | |

| I am pretty sure there is a pastor here who could do it. My only concern is the "small southern town" factor and word getting around that I am either or crazy or possessed. A guy DH works with's mother is a Shaman. She offered to come out. The past 3 days have just been the absolute worst and I don't even care if the whole town thinks I'm nuts if someone can just make it all stop. I don't know if its getting worse, or the stress I've been under is just making it SEEM worse. All I know is something is going to have to give or I am going to check myself into the looney bin.

| I'd do whatever makes you feel better. Their are good psychatrist and some really bad ones. You might have to shop around to find a good one.

| It isn't so much the house this time as it is ME. That heaviness I described is worse and so is that radio noise. The noise is louder and NOTHING will make it stop or shut it out. That's why I think its all the stress I've been under. Still, I don't think having the house blessed will hurt. Even if it is "all in my head" the way DH thinks, maybe having the blessing will psychosymatically help too.

| I really don't think you're crazy... Blessing your house is a great idea... I've been thinking of asking a priest to come over and bless MY house... Yeah, I also have been feeling, hearing and seeing weird stuff around here, and even Maggie & Hannah have too!!! Sometimes when we are already on bed (the girls sleep w/ hubby and I), Maggie starts to stare at the bedroom's door and barks her head off, while Hannah just stares to that @#%*ing empty space at the door Well, there's a lot more stuff going on here but I think it's off topic... Anyway, I wish good luck to you... |

| I'd suggest going to see your general practitioner(your family doctor). He might be able to put you on something that will help you to de-stress and make some of it go away. Stress can do horrible things to your mind and body. I know someone who mentioned some of the things you're hearing and they now take Prozac and it has helped so much. Now, please don't be offended because this person also believed someone was doing things in her house and she had the same kind of noises that bothered her. The mind is a very complicated thing. She also went to see a psychiatrist and talk to people but she felt too exposed having someone judge her and telling her troubles too. Blessing the house might also set your mind at ease.

| I am taking 10mg of Prozac along with my HRT. I think I will speak to my dr about upping that dosage. I don't think it can hurt at this point.

| Upping the dosage is a great suggestion, sometimes the prozac seems like it stops working(I don't know how long you've been on it) but definately talk to your family doctor. Feel free to PM me if you need any support or suggestions. It took me a very long time to get my family member some help and it definately takes the person wanting to feel better. It can be very frustrating for family and the individual having some problems. Neither knows what the other is feeling which just adds more stress to the situation. Hope you feel better, sending some positive vibes your way
