| im in wichta falls tx by the OK border. a lot of business by that part have shut down and because its flooding over its going into the smaller streets too. no power shortage that i know of but people in some parts of this little town were being evacuated by boat. those hotels are all evacuated. they said the water hasnt peaked yet its still rising. yesterday morning at 6:00am it was over 22.ft and and it was supposed to peak at 1:00pm yesterday but they said it was still going. all those streets are blocked off. tons of people are have to stay in a big churh we have. where im at its okay for now. |

| its just crazy ive never seen the water up that high. its not all over town right now just certain parts. around right there , theres a man made waterfall and the wichita falls river and its little and it always rises but it like over flowed onto the streets and up to the hotels and even the main highway which is a bridge way above in one of the pics you can see the speed limit sign to the little side road thats under water and in some other pics you see part of a park well the big jungle gym with the big yellow slide you cant see any more. its just crazy! a man drowned and died tueday fishing when the water started to come. and its flowing into the rest of the town. i live like a couple of mins away from here its mostly affecting downtown a whole lot where all the businesses are. tuesday my work was flooded i posted pics on my previous thread. |

| That is pretty devastating to see those pictures. I am sure many peoples homes have been damaged not to mention crops and that sort of thing. You guys are getting flooded and we are so dry here. Hvent see rain in I dont know how long. Fire hazzard is very high here in the mountains. I wish you could pipe some of that water to us. |

| Wow! Those photos are amazing. I'm glad you are okay though. You don't work on the weekends do you? Maybe it will go down before you have to go in again? Driving sounds like a nightmare. We had a little sunshine yesterday in Waco, so maybe (fingers crossed) this rain will move on to other areas that need it more.

| Hope that you guys are staying safe. Here in GA we have a think about a 13 inch deficit so we could use a litttle of the rain that you guys have had. I can remember when I was a kid about 11 years old we had a major flood in VA. We lived on a river, the water came up to the edge of our driveway and got in everyone elses house below us my grandmother lived upon the hill above us and we would go and sit on her porch and watch mobile units and other things float down the river from our school. It is very scary and dangerous. Just stay safe. Hopefully you won't get anymore rain.

| WOW! It hasn't gotten quite that bad here, but we've had some flooding. I went today to pay my rent & it was raining really hard. When I went to get out of the car, I noticed that the water had risen to right at wheel level on the car next to me (ankle deep). Needless to say, I left & went back later to pay. I wasn't getting in that!
