| Only weeks to go!!! HOLY COW! Time is flying by so quickly. Okay, so I go in and have another OB visit today, he's a great doctor...hope I still feel the same way after the delivery (lol)...and it looks like this little one is in the breeched position (not the end of the world since I'm only about 32 weeks anyway) and so I've gotta go get a few more ultrasounds taken next Thursday. I'm now facing a possible C-section. I'm hoping I don't have to, that'd be nice, but I suppose it's not the end of the world. I don't scar easily so that's a huge plus! Any ladies here have any experience w/ this? Any advice? I'm a very fit kinda girl and I look forward to being active as soon as possible after she's born. OH! Another question, my baby shower is on the 11th of February. Any fun ideas or party favors/door prize suggestions that I can pass along to those hosting it for me? Thanks! |

| I had A csection. It wasnt bad and I cant even see My scar from it anymore. Your baby has plenty of time to turn. In my case Iwas all ready to give birth had my epiderual and the nurse ended up checking me and My Daughter had turned into breech position. My doctor checked me an hour before that and she was in normal birthing position.

| That's encouraging! ha ha, thanks. She's sooooo low, it's amazing. Often I feel like she's gonna just fall out. And I think I know what a guy must feel like to get kicked in the cajones...she frequently hits my cervix. Not funny.... |

| With my first child! We waited as long as we could and she wouldn't turn and doc couldn't turn her either. I had the csection! Thank God because the cord was wrapped around her neck! She is 20 now and all went well. Good luck to you!!

| Taylor Anne- That's actually comforting to hear. I'm nervous about the same thing...(the cord wrapping around her when/if she does decide to go head down). I'm almost wondering if I shouldn't just play it safe and decide on the c-section? I'll have to talk to my doc on Thursday. If she waits until the day of to turn, I'm just going to ask that they do the c-section. I didn't wait this long to stress out about the big day! As it stands, she likes to lay from hip to hip (sideways) or w/ her bottom down. (brat!) |

| I've been thinking about you. Thirty two weeks already? That went by so fast. Probably even faster for me since I'm not the one carrying her. Your little girl will be here before you know it. I'm excited for you. Please, keep the updates coming.

| I have not had a c-section, but of my 4 children two of them had the cord around their neck. My daughters was around her neck twice, and we did have a small scare when her heart dropped a little, but they just put me on oxygen, turned me on my left side, and when I was ready to push and her head came out they were able to just lift the cord off her neck. She was just fine. My third baby had the cord tight around his neck, but only wrapped once. I didn't get to have him placed on my chest when he was born because they immediately clamped/cut his cord and got him on O2 because he was blue. It can be scary to have their cord around their neck, but it is also pretty common and a well trained dr. can handle it and get that cord off pretty quickly. Sometimes it does require the c-section depending on how tightly the cord is wrapped. I hope my post didn't scare you. I didn't mean for it to be scary.

| I had all 4 of my kids c-sections! I have a nasty scar but if the dogs just scratch me I have scars. (I develop scar tissue really bad.) The babies were just fine. Actually their little heads were prettier since they didn't get all smooshed up in the cervix. Good luck. I also found that with the first c-section I didn't get up and move as much as my last ones. Everyone got easier.

| My 2nd child was a c-section (my 1st was a vaginal delivery), and it was fine, mine was an emergency so i had no choice but as long as the baby and I were fine thats all that mattered! The important thing to remember with a c-section is it is major surgery and you will need a good 6 weeks of recovering, ie:doing very little only tending to your baby and definately no driving!

| I had an emergency c-section with my first child and chose to have a c-section with my second child. They do take a long time to recover from and like yorkiepip said, dont do very much except for take care of your precious little girl. That is probably all you will feel like doing anyway. My scare goes from the belly button down, so I have a nice little part, shall we say, But I believe that most of them are along the bikini line anymore. I do believe c-section babies are a lot cuter because the shape of the head is not so distorted. Another benefit to a c-setion is that you can request a tummy tuck at the same time if you are in need. They did not offer this when I had my kids but I have heard of it being done these days. Good luck and keep us informed. And don't forget to have hubby post some pics. Arlene
