I have not had a c-section, but of my 4 children two of them had the cord around their neck. My daughters was around her neck twice, and we did have a small scare when her heart dropped a little, but they just put me on oxygen, turned me on my left side, and when I was ready to push and her head came out they were able to just lift the cord off her neck. She was just fine.
My third baby had the cord tight around his neck, but only wrapped once. I didn't get to have him placed on my chest when he was born because they immediately clamped/cut his cord and got him on O2 because he was blue.
It can be scary to have their cord around their neck, but it is also pretty common and a well trained dr. can handle it and get that cord off pretty quickly. Sometimes it does require the c-section depending on how tightly the cord is wrapped.
I hope my post didn't scare you. I didn't mean for it to be scary.
