I need to make more friends, I feel so bored! Sometimes I don't know what to do. There isn't something always going on and I feel like I haven't gone out and have fun in a while. This sucks. Me and my bf also had a fight about me getting mad when he wants to chill with his friends. That's only because I have nothing to do! lol But we resolved that and he is with friend's now and I'm all bored at home. ayayay I need wayyy more friends. Somehow all my hs friends disappeared..oh yea they all went away to college. Srry to ramble on I'm just SO BORED!

I sometimes feel like that too. I was rather depressed if you read my thread about a month ago but I feel better now because I took the advice of some of the YT members who are kind enough to provide emotional support and offer me advices. I eat healthier now and try to get sufficient exercise. Even if I do not go out, I work myself out doing housework and sweat it off. I also wake up early and open up all the curtain to get more light in and to enjoy longer hours of sunlight because I find that it does make me feel better; much better. I also make stuff now for my Siu Pao baby. I cannot afford a sewing machine yet so I stitch..its slow progress but who cares..so long it turns out nice and I get to personalize everything. I also bought some acrylic paints from the Dollar Store to start painting some art to hang around in my house. And I play with Siu Pao lots..we don't get to go out often because of the cold but we sure do play more...Try doing stuff at home...I now think that I am able to enjoy my own company more..its true that sometimes you'd rather stay home enjoy your time with a dog than seeing some people.Try sipping chinese tea, herb tea or coffee in front of the window in the morning..it sure does make me feel way better.

I do not have friends here, now I have like one girlfriend but it sure isn't easy to make friends in a big city. My husband has his friends so he is hanging out to play poker and watches football so I stay home plus its my first time going through winter and I don't really know my way around.He sometimes travels too so I am home alone. It gets pretty lonely but its getting better.

You should come on over to WT! Sounds like you are young and there are young people on WT....you should check it out...you would have gotten alot more responses over there than here! COME ON OVER!! LOL

What is WT?? Im bored too! My daughter is stuck to my butt! Stupid Fiance only likes to sleep play games or ignore me! He is sleeping right now! Im 26yrs old and home on a saturday night! Suxs! I have never been bored. Always had my hands in something to do, do you sew? I have so much I want to do and can't find the time to do it and right now not able to, but I am keeping my mind busy thinking of all that I will be able to do soon, prayerfully. How old is your daughter, have you thought of taking a class at your local college, lots of nice classes don't have to be one you don't like. I took piano and loved it. Even a hobby of some sort, with the computer there is so much information, one can learn to do a lot through the internet. Our grand daughter learnd to play piano from a site on the net that I sent her.

Potter, I admire you doing your sewing by hand, I hope you will be able to get a machine before long. They really can pay for themselves over a period of time. We share in a several common things, sewing and painting. I also wanted to mention to you that there is lots of neat painting sites on the net, I painted for years and loved it, I will be happy to send you several sites that I have book marked, if you are interested just pm and let me know if you want them. Do you crochet or knit, I have several of those bookmarked and will be happy to copy and paste and send them to you too.
I have found that through keeping myself active and my mind involved in learning different things it has helped me to be a happier person by not having any time to get bored. I am so thankful for doing these things cause now that we are older and each have health issues and Jack with Parkinsons that it helps me to involve myself in doing these things which enables me to cope better with our life situation. That sucks. I know how you feel. When my bf is over sometimes he likes to sleep a lot after school because he'll go to sleep really late and then have to wake up early for school. OR he'll play his video games! lol They can be so addicting.

Thank you for your advice and I do remember your thread a while ago. I'm soo happy you're doing much better now. I would enroll myself in classes like bellydance or tennis but I have no money right now so that's why I haven't. I will later on though. I guess I'll just work out while I'm bored or figure something to do. I was just so frustrated last night cuz it was a Saturday but I did end up going out. I'll try to make some stuff to Teddy too.

I learned a while back that if you need a blessing, be a blessing. If you're young and that bored, think of all the older folks with no family or friends. It's easy for you to get out, but not them. It is only when you give of yourself that you truly give. All it takes is the Yellow Pages and a short drive as there are bound to be a slew of places you could volunteer, or just visit with people. Maybe you know a single mother who could use a couple of hours to herself - you could babysit. For exercise, maybe you can find an elderly person/couple who needs yard work done, or hang Christmas lights for them. Do you know a teenager who just needs an ear? You'll be surprised at how alive it makes you feel. All you need is an imagination.
