| I suppose there is if someone would photo copy one. But I've never heard of it happening. |

| Are you talking about a U.S.Postal money order? Yes, you can and they are faked more often than you would think. You can get scammed by anything that can be copied. If it's a postal money order they'll check it for you, if it's a bank money order the only thing you can really do is deposit it and wait for it to clear. |

| Absolutely! Money orders can get stolen and /or copied. Over the years we have had more losses by money orders and cashiers checks than any other payments. If you are taking one for your business. I would call the bank and verify that it is valid. I would not ever do a COD and to my knowledge UPS does not take cash. Good Luck! |

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | I agree with the posts that say YES THEY CAN BE FORGED - these days it's so easy to get scammed and some money orders are so good they get past some banks at first..... I would think cashing it immediatlely is the way to go but don't know if it would come back to bite you after you cash it - there are some people here that work in the banking industry - I'd love to hear what they say - but are you feeling someone may be scamming you ?? If you have a red flag like that - maybe it's best not to take a chance and don't do business with them ? |

| Yes, the scammer that called on my daughter's yorkie and others, too, ended up with a fradulent money order, as the end result. So be very careful. |

Donating YT 500 Club Member | Anything printed on paper may be counterfeited, including Cashiers Checks and money orders. With a Cashiers check you may contact the issuing bank to verify it's legitimacy, with a money order you might have to wait til it would clear all channels. Now, as far as presenting the item to your bank for collection, regardless of whether you deposit or get it cashed, if the item is found to be counterfeit, it will be charged back to your account.
