| No New Puppies... Some of you know our 3 year old baby Jewel went to heaven in May. The breeder we got Jewel from still has her mom and she went into heat last month. We were so looking forward to getting Jewel's half sister or brother but today we found out Roxy "dropped her eggs" - I don't know what that means, all I know is we are heartbroken with the news that she will not be having a litter. I didn't even realize how much I was looking forward to hearing news that Roxy was pregnant. I actually cried as I read the bad news. Kind of felt like Jewel died again... I feel so stupid for crying. I know it's probably for the best. Maybe there is something wrong with the bloodline that made Jewel sick. I don't know. I just wanted a puppy with a little bit of "Jewel" in her...

| I'm so sorry for your dissappointment. I'm sure you will find one that will fill the empty space in your lives. Although none will ever fill that tiny hole in your heart that was taken by that tiny soul. Good Luck, And God Bless. |

| I'm so sorry about your loss. I can tell she was a very special dog to you. She will be with you always. Maybe you should consider looking for a puppy somewhere else. I know no dog can replace Jewel but I'm sure that you'll find some characteristic of a new puppy that reminds you of her. |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I'm sorry to hear that. How disappointing. Cali is my 4th Yorkie, and all from different breeders but each one special in their own ways. I hope you can find one soon to help you in the loss of your beloved Jewel.

| I'm sorry for this disappointment. If Baby passed, I too would want a puppy who was related.

| Oh, that is sad. I guess the breeder meant she had a miscarriage? What about Jewel's dad? Maybe he has been used for breeding again. I hope you find a new baby soon. He/she won't be Jewel but I know first hand that a puppy can sure help ease the pain of losing a furbaby. Take care and keep us posted.

| Thank you all for the comforting words. I feel so selfish but... If only there really was a "Re-Pet" in the malls like in that Arnold movie... The breeder may be moving out of state to Georgia so we don't know if we will have an opportunity to wait for her next heat cycle. She is checking to see if one of Jewel's sisters are being bred. Jewel's dad has been retired from the breeding program and is now neutered.

Did you think about looking through pictures of different puppies/dogs available through different breeders and maybe you could find some with simalarities to Jewel? I know it's not the same. I'm just trying to find a suggestion that will hopefully help you out. Regardless of what puppy you end up with I know that you will love it just the same and Jewel will be looking on and sharing in your joy. | |

| Re-Pet was a store in the move "The 6th Day" where Arnold has to fight his clone. His kids dog died and he took the dog to the mall where there was a store called re-pet and you can have your pets cloned. Dan and I haven't really looked for another puppy since we were waiting for word on Roxy. We really didn't even consider her not getting pregnant so that why it was such a shock to me. We just assumed we would have Jewel's 1/2 sibling home with us by Christmas. It's not so much her look we wanted but her personality. She wasn't the smartest yorkie but her adoration of Dan, the sweet pure love she had for him is what we were hoping to find. I know every yorkie is different in personality even within the same litter but we were hoping that by having the same mom might produce a similar personality.

| I understand what you mean. I'm sorry that it isn't working out how you planned. I read your dogster about Jewel and I could tell that she was special from the first minute she picked you out. Let me know if you'd like some help trying to find breeders in the area. Just tell me what you're looking for and I'll try to keep my eye out for you. I'm sure that you could at least visit a breeder's puppies and if you don't get the right feeling about a puppy then you wouldn't be obligated to anything. But I think after a while you will get that happy giddy feeling of looking forward to getting a puppy that we've all experienced. Here are a couple ads I've seen: This one is expensive but GOSH SHE'S SO CUTE! Don't you want to kiss that face all up? I don't know the breeder personally but she looks pretty good. http://sandiego.backpage.com/buysell...s%20for%20sale This girl needs a home :/ http://sandiego.backpage.com/buysell...s%20for%20sale Let me know if I can help! ps- Another thing I forgot to mention is did you ask the vet if the brain condition she had was genetic? I would hate for you to go through all of this heartbreak again. Last edited by cheryl000; 07-18-2006 at 11:03 PM. |

| You are so sweet. The puppies you found are both adorable but I don't think we are quite ready to start looking for other options yet. I know in my heart the right puppy will find her way to us.

| I'm so sorry this didn't work out for you. I'm sure you had your heart and minds set on this pregnancy. I hope that eventually you will find your little sweetheart and when you see her/him you will know right away.
