| Horrible Animal Cruelty *UPDATE* a friend of my boss just came in and was telling us that last saturday a man's horse got out of it's gate and wouldn't listen to the owner so when he caught him he tied him up to his truck and drug the poor horse until he was dead. when i heard that i actually had tears in my eyes. how can people be so cruel. hearing things like this make me made as hell he also said that all the sheriff's office did was write the bastard a ticket!!! my exbf works for the sheriff's office and you better believe he's going to hear it from me i don't care if he wans't even the one called to the scene. how is it that someone can do something this awful and all they have to do is pay a couple hundred dollars?? their still allowed to have pets and if he did something the bad i'm sure he treats his animals badly all the time and if another one makes him mad he'll probably do it again. what will happen to him?? probably another ticket!! what about the poor animals am i the only one in this town that gives a damn about them??? well there's one lady i know that can and will do something and i think i'll give her a call right now!! | Oh my gosh. What a sick SOB, someone should drag him behind a truck... I can't believe he only got a ticket for this. I thought every state had more strict of laws on animal cruelty now. |

| I found this. http://hsus.ga4.org/campaign/AR_2005_animal_cruelty I know it doesn't help too much now but it could prevent something like this in the future. |

| What a f-----g (sorry for my language) a**hole!!!! My God, how can people in this world be so cruel. I know this may sound ignorant, but sometimes I just don't want to know about these things. I am furious right now. That's why I don't watch animal precinct on animal planet. I can't take it, I'd rather not know that this is going on because it brings me to tears! DAMN! Why aren't there stiffer laws out there to prevent people from such abuse. What a SOB...

| Ugh, that just makes me sick. I can't believe how lenient the laws are for animal cruelty. A couple hundred dollars, maybe a week in jail, and that's for killing an animal. Blah! I just can't believe people do these things, it honestly does sicken me.

| Here in Quebec , there is a new law against crualty to animal . A woman was keeping 15 German Shepherd Dogs in her basement . Some of her neighbors went to the local S.P.C.A and she have had a fine of $15,000.00 to pay and she is not allowed to keep another animal . The house was very smelly . The social service bring her 2 children out of there , the children were very sick . I really hope that the change of government will not kill this law . Extremely horryfing what peoples can do for $$$$$$$$ . |

| my story was wrong i apologize guys, i had the story wrong BUT IT'S STILL ANIMAL CRUELTY guess that's what happens when you listen to he said she said, but here is the actual story (actual police report) 04-13-05 Saturday Deputy David Booker was dispatched to a call concerning blood in the roadway near the County Road 77/78 intersection. The blood led back to a residence at 388 Ouachita 77. Three horses were discovered in a horse paddock at the rear of the residence. One of the animals was visibly injured, bleeding from the hooves. There was evidence that the horses were not receiving the proper care. No one was home at the residence at the time. Officers spoke with a neighbor who stated that the horses had wandered into his yard the night before. He had contacted the owner, Bobby Ray Tidwell, and Tidwell had come to get the animals. At that time Officers contacted Tidwell by phone and Dr. Rocconi was advised of the situation. Upon speaking with Tidwell he stated two of the horses were herded home without incident but that the injured horse would not cooperate. He said that he had put a halter on her and tied a rope from the halter to the rear bumper of his truck. He then proceeded to pull the horse back to the paddock which resulted in the injury. Dr. Rocconi examined the animal and noted the injuries. Injuries to the horse consisted of damaged rear hooves, halter burns on the muzzle as well as an overall poor condition. According to Dr. Rocconi the animal does have a valid chance of recovery with proper care and treatment. This morning he said that he had examined the horse again Tuesday and the animal can stand, the bleeding has stopped and her prognosis is good. Darlene Wheelington who is the Incorporated Agent for the Society Against Cruelty to Animals is also involved in the case. The investigation into the incident is continuing. Tidwell was cited with cruelty to animals and will appear in court on May 19. |

| A few years ago, my father read about some "men" who drop-kicked a little yorkie to death! I could literally put these people out of their misery...... I hope the horse goes to a gooe home. My neighbor had to have his horse put down because the juvenile delinquent across the street shot it in the face with a bazooka water gun and blinded it! I would have done something really awful if that had been my animal!!! |

| The "beast" is pleading guilty to avoid serious fine the "man" that did this evil deed, has gone to a weekly paper and LIED about his treatment of all 3 of his horses.. he now states he will plead guilty to "get it over with" and contends the aligations are all unfounded.. all anyone has to do is look at the hoof prints on the asphalt and see all 3 horses that hips stick out further than their stomach's.. had he gone before the judge he could have been court ordered to give up having animals...since the horses were not taken the saturday the incident occured, it has complicated the whole situation. everyone in the little community where this occured seem outraged...yet the law say's their hands are tied due to state law! it is a true tragedy that a evil deed like this can be "paid for" by a small fine.... |

| Oh my lord..... That is so sad. And SO cruel!! How could ANYONE want to hurt ANY kind of innocent animal?!?!? That just blows my mind. I am so againist stuff like this, and I wish people would start doing something about it. I can't even walk through the humane society without crying, because I have to look at all those beautiful dogs and kitties that don't have homes. My hubby gets mad cause I am SO overly sensitive about stuff like this. May that man rot in hell for what he did to that poor horse! |
