| Women -vs- Men! Okay, a lot of people responded to the Pet Peeve thread, and it looks as though there was only 1 man that responded? Come on, there's gotta be more that come to this site! I'd like to hear from more of the male population out there, if there is any, and shall I say, bring it on???? Aren't women better than men? Fact, or Myth? After reading reponses on the Pet Peeve Thread, I would say at least 90% of them were peeving about something the man does in some form or another. What do we women do that get on the men's nerves? Are there any men out there that would like to point out any faults of us women? Or should I say, make your own list of peeves? We as women, would like to hear from you, and have to chance to respond.......in kind, of course. LOL Ladies, let's face it. I'm sure we've been pointed out a fault or two.....Care to name them? First one that comes to my mind is that my man says it drives him competely and totally insane that I leave the lid off the toothpaste. Now come on, is that so bad?????? *L*

| LOL, that's funny......... I get that sometimes too. Then if I say something like, "well, we're having chicken" then he will roll his eyes or say, "anything but that"........... Sheesh.

| OH! Thought of another one........ He says it drives him nuts that when I'm involved in a movie, say like on Lifetime, etc etc, that noone can talk in the room. He says that if he's watching Football, boxing, etc, and trying to listen, that it doesn't stop me from yakking. I disagree. I respect his tv time too, but he thinks I don't. But he's right on about me wanting quiet. Don't you hate that if your engrossed in a movie, and he picks up the phone and starts having a lengthy phone conversation when your trying to watch tv? UGH!

| My faults (so he says lol): 1. I harp when I get upset: I have a very bad tendency to drag on arguments. But recently I have gotten much better at not doing that because I recognize it, tell myself to shut up or just get to the point and express why I am upset instead of bringing up everything under the sun. 2. Unforgiving to his family: Due to cultural differences, I had (still do) a lot of 'airs' about who is right and who is wrong and why. (of course I was always right ). However, just like number one, I recognize this tendency and work on CHOOSING to not let that stuff affect me. 3. Being emotional: Yeah so the monthly comes around and I am little more sensitive to crap but who isn't??? Are you with me ladies??? Cause there aint no amount of Midol changing that! (Basically I have a running theme of this being a New Year, so I am living a heathier emotional state of mind and spirit. Hard work but worth it. Those who know my situation a little better can appreciate that! Thanks again to you all for being my rock last year!)

| I'm laughing here, hard!!!!!! I get told that I take things around the block and not across the street. Sometimes, he will make it a point to go sit-down, and giving me one of his looks like "I know this is going to take a while".....Makes me mad sometimes, but also at times makes me laugh. I do tell him that at least I don't repeat a story that I already know about, 10 times. He will say something he done with a buddy or something, and act like it is the first time he's told me...........LOL Look, I feel like I was there with you, since you've managed to tell me that same story at least 10 times! geez!

Maybe we should start a PMS thread that we bond in and offer support whenever "that time of the month" is happening...

Okay, so I'm not alone. I joke with him that from now on, he'll just say "Susan, tell the one about..." and I tell his stories because I've heard them all 100 times! | |

| Let's see... my worst traits that he would complain about: I always have to be right and can never admit when I'm wrong. I have OCD about how eveything in the house should be done- how the cups are arranged in the cupboards (which he re-arranges just to get a rise out of me!! ), which food should go in which cupboard, how our closets should be arranged... I get cranky when I'm hungry, tired, or stressed. I am a planner- I need to know what time we'll be going where. Forget sleeping in on the weekends without an alarm, forget just doing whatever when it comes up- I need a schedule. Wow, I'm a total pain in the butt to live with! |

| this thread and many others prove my points that i'm about to make. You ladies talk and complain wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy to much. Hahahaha you notice why we don't say much here? because its not that big of a deal. So what if the Toilet paper is out. We will change it when we need it again. Why make such a bid issue out of it and have th arguement drag on for days even. so what if we drink from the carton. its not like you haven't swapped spit with us. And its true about tv time. you ladies interrupt when we watch games and what not. We don't expect you to watch it with us but you expect us to watch romance movies with you guys. thats why Men are better then women. We don't sweat the small little things in life. sorry if it doesn't make too much sense...i have to get back to work... playing turbotanks.com atari classic. wooohoooo. |
