| Why Why WHY are men so freakin' stubborn?!?!?!?!? Oh my gosh you guys, I could just DIE right now!!! I finally got a hold of DH this afternoon who proceeds to tell me he's been knocked UNCONSCIOUS (at work- he's an equine vet) but he's "fine." He refused to go the the Dr. and I ended the conversation yelling at him that he needed to go "or else." Yes, I know that's not the best way to act towards your recently knocked-out husband, but when I get scared and upset I tend to act out that way ANYWAY- I called his secretary and asked if DH told her what happened. She said "yes, he got knocked over." I said "NO HE GOT KNOCKED OUT." So of course she cancels the rest of his day and tells him he must go get looked at. Meanwhile, he's finishing up his appointment like nothing happened. Why do men have to act so freakin' tough?? If I had been knocked-out I would be crying like a baby and would have made someone come get me and take me to the doctor! Ok, I feel better now, I really needed to vent. I know how serious head injuries can be and just get so frustrated when he acts like nothing can hurt him. Can we say, Nathasha Richardson?? It could be really serious.....

| I couldn't agree more. I was just watching the news and they said if she would have gone to the hospital from the scene she could have been saved. You just really never know. You could feel fine and them bam dead. Oh my goodness, they are certainly a stubbern bunch. I have to hold my hubbys hand and call the doctor and TELL him he's going to the doctor. I don't know why they are like this. Makes you want to smack them lol.

YT 2000 Club Member | I totally understand and agree with you..........my DH had a tractor mower roll over on top of him a year ago. He was knocked unconsicous and when he did come to, he called me and said that he was going to try to get back up the hill and get in his truck and go to the ER at the hospital! I guess the knock on the head must have knocked a "skew" loose...........he also had a compound break in the upper bone of his arm....................so, again, I agree with you...........MEN!

| It is a man thing. Women are so much stronger mentally, men just don't see things sometimes and I only started to believe that after I got married 18 years ago, but it's true. |

| My DH is the opposite. He acts like he is dying if he gets a hangnail.

That's the funny part about this whole thing! Usually he IS a baby about little things. In fact, as he's driving himself to the hospital for a concussion, he's complaining about his little toe hurting! Too funny they are. When I was little and the book Men Are From Mars and Women Are From Venous came out I just didn't get it. Now I do!!!

Amanda, did he get hit in the head? If so, he probably has a concussion! He really must get that checked out.

He was released from the ER with a clean CAT scan. Diagnosed with concussion and whiplash. He's good now, I was really worried!

I just hope he's OK, and rests up. Hopefully he will take the rest of the week off from work?
