| Do a search, this came up awhile back when it first happened. I thought it turned out to be a hoax, as in the puppy was never really thrown. However, I believe the Marine was discharged from the military anyways. His family lives locally to the area I'm in and I believe the newpapers have reported his family has been harassed because of his actions. Even in jest it was inappropriate on the Marines part. (in my opinion)

| I never heard that the throwing was a hoax. If it was not a hoax, then all I can say is that the act was pure evil. I did read that the soldier was discharged because such behaviour was undesireable. Would they have discharged him if it was a hoax? |

| yes, probably. I don't recall the technical term but something along the lines of behavior unbecoming a marine. They are a representation of the US and that behavior hoax or not isn't the image the marines want to portray. Especially during war time and that the video was taken overseas.

| This was not a hoax. It was very true. Want to read a news article about it? Here. Mutts: Marine booted for throwing dog off cliff - A blog for animal lovers on pets, dogs, cats, shelters and animal rescue - baltimoresun.com Mean?....this man (?) was beyoned mean. Demented. Criminal. Inhumane. Cold-blooded. Despicable. Disgusting. Shameful. Disgraceful. Contemptable. Barbarous. Savage. I thought that his punishment should have been much more severe than it actually was. |
