| Please help me feel better..... A while back I posted about some kittens that I had found outside and one was totally sick. Upper respiratory infection, including it's little eyes. I took it to the vet, nursed it back to health (also snagged the runt of the litter) and feed them with bottles and fattened them up. They were both sweet but the boy most of all. Well.....big*heavy*sigh....today I took them both to the pet store so that they could find homes. I am not a cat person and hate having a litterbox in the house. They kinda had my whole bathroom so that I could 'put them away' when things were going on. Now, I am feeling like a Judas. I really don't like feeling this way. I really didn't 'choose' to have them. They just needed care. Now I am feeling so terrible about taking them over there and leaving them. Please.....somebody tell me I haven't done something mean and awful, for I surely am feeling like I have. |

One of the determining factors was how unhappy my Sassy was with the whole deal. I thought that once she got used to them that it would be better. That never happened. Then, since I feel my first responsibility is to her, I made the decision to go ahead and do it. I just wish it hadn't made me feel so bad.

I just got off the phone with my best friend. She is a total cat person. I am a dog person. I told her that I took them to the pet store and she said..."hmmmm....you know that if they don't sell them they will take them to the pound and they will probably euthanise them".....it upsets me so much. I told her that I had done my best by them and already feel bad enough and I don't want to talk about it anymore. She kinda beats me with words about it. She thought/thinks I should have kept them. I just couldn't. It really hurts my feelings.

| Sammi - what a wonderful thing you did, taking these sweet little ones into your home and nursing them back to health. I would almost guarantee that the pet store was able to place them. I agree with Villette - you went way beyond the call of duty in coming to the rescue of the two baby kittens. Way to go! |

Thank you Cindy. I really do want what is best for them. I will keep checking on them for sure. It's just that my home is not for kitties. I am dying to get to my sewing and that would have pretty much been impossible to do with them here. And....I want my Sassy back on my lap or beside me on the couch. She didn't care for the kitties at all and I missed her. ___________________________________________

| Hey, don't feel bad, I agree, you did way more then most people would have. You did what was best for you and that's all that matters.

Donating YT 500 Club Member | Awww....Sammi - don't feel bad. I can't help but think that God intended for you to find and help these kittens. And that he has a good plan for them now. You did much more than most would and have given these kittens a chance to live.....something they wouldn't have had without you!

| Definitely don't feel bad. You took in these kittens, nursed them to health and now you are offering them a chance at a wonderful, forever home. Just the fact that you don't like cats and Sassy didn't adapt, but you kept them this long completely shows the kind of caring person you are.

Donating YT 3000 Club Member | don't feel bad, you did what you could do, you help them when they were sick and now they are going to find good homes. Don't feel guilty because you can't take them with you, what you did is great and you should feel proud of that |

| Instead of feeing guilty and bad, you should be feeling proud and good that you took care of them. A lot of people would not have done any of what you did. Now those kittens can be cared for and hopefully fixed so they don't have unplanned kittens to add to the problem of so many strays.

Donating YT 30K Club Member | You did a great thing saving those babies and now putting them where they can find a loving home. I feel bad your friend said that after all you did to save those babies.
