Very Sad Day I've been so upset today and crying on and off. First, I received a phone call telling me of a friend who was found dead. Totally in shock. Still can't believe it. Just talked with him a couple weeks ago. Then, I was going to pick up a pizza for dinner and on the way back, I saw that someone had hit a dog. It was a sweet Beagle. I'm sure someone's beloved pet. I made the mistake of looking right at his sweet face and saw him blink. I immediately called 911. Nobody even stopped. They just kept going around him. I just cried, imagining his pain and that of his owners. I hope they could save him. His face will haunt me for days to come. </IMG>

I am so sorry about your friend. Its shocking even when death is expected but when its not its even more tramatic. I hate so much about the little beagle. I had never actually seen a dog hit until about 2yrs. ago. I was coming home from the drug store and this man hit this little toy poodle. It was trying to get up and had its little head raised. Then, it just layed down and I'm sure died at that time. It was so little. I cryed until I couldn't even see the road. I was going shopping and had to go home. I was shaking until I thought there was something wrong with me reacting like that. I had just lost my mother too and the whole thing was just tramatic. Even today when I go down that street I think about that little baby.

I'm sorry about your friend...it's never easy to deal with the death of someone close to you. I do believe everything happens for a reason so look on the bright side of finding the little Beagle...you looked! How many other people 'looked' but didn't see or didn't care...you were supposed to be there...you looked, you cared and you got help for him. I bet he's glad you wanted pizza last night!

Loosing a beloved one is never easy... At least you were lucky enough to have him in your life... I believe our days here are counted, so it's very important to let your beloved ones know how appreciated they are, cause you never know what tomorrow holds... Andrea
