I've been so upset today and crying on and off. First, I received a phone call telling me of a friend who was found dead. Totally in shock. Still can't believe it. Just talked with him a couple weeks ago. Then, I was going to pick up a pizza for dinner and on the way back, I saw that someone had hit a dog. It was a sweet Beagle. I'm sure someone's beloved pet. I made the mistake of looking right at his sweet face and saw him blink. I immediately called 911. Nobody even stopped. They just kept going around him. I just cried, imagining his pain and that of his owners. I hope they could save him. His face will haunt me for days to come.
