| H. Pylori? Does anyone here have it? I have been diagnosed with it and one though the Prev Pak - felt ABSOLUTELY terrible on it - Before I was diagnosed I had terrible stomach pains and nausea and just weirdness all the time. So it's been about 2 months after finding out I have it and now I have TERRIBLE heartburn! When I say terrible - I MEAN terrible...I have it everyday all day - from the minute I wake up and it bothers me all night. I know I look terrible - huge black circles under my eyes and most of the time I feel terrible. I have scheduled an appt with a specialist for this week Im just wondering if anyone out there has it and how it is affecting their lives? I know it is not cureable - I cant imagine dealing with this for the rest of my life. It seems like every day is a struggle - I am eating better, excercising, doing Yoga and generally being positive. I am NOT going to get me down. But does it ever get better? Im sooooo nervous about the doctor appt. and I guess I just need a little reassurance from someone that has been there...... |

| hmm.... if you do in fact have H Pylori then it is curable.. it is just a bacteria that needs antibiotics.... they thought i had it.... did a scope and took a biopsy.. turned out to not be the problem, but i was told that i should hope for H pylori as all i would need is a round of medication to fix it. I know that if you have had it for a long time and it hasn't been diagnoised it can cause secondary issues that arne't curable (ie... permanent damage to the lining of your stomach) so you might want to double check that that is in fact what you have.... good luck! i know the pain... i too have it every day... |

| I have no experience with this, but wanted to wish you good luck at the doctor's appointment. I hope that they can at least get this under control, if it's not cureable. Look it up at WebMD or Medicine Net, both good sources of info, so that you can ask all the right questions of the doc Hugs!!!!!

| I had an endoscopy and had h pylori and acid reflux which caused terrible heartburn. I was on an antibiotic, then had to go to the dr.'s office to make sure h pylori was gone. I had to eat a special pudding (was not bad), then had to breathe into a bag a couple of times. For the acid reflux, I was given a prescription for prilosec, and have been good as new ever since. Good luck to you.

| I know what you mean completely....I was just telling that to my family the other day, just because I dont walk around moaning or LOOKING sick does not mean I am not. I know things can be worse, and I realize that. But it makes simple things hard...I have anxiety attacks sometimes too if im oging to be in a social situation...It just creeps up on you. Isnt it funny - you need food to live and survive but when you eat the pain you develop makes you not want to eat. I will be thinking and praying for you as well. Quote:
