| Saved My Neighbor's Dog! I pass by a house about 3 blocks from my home every morning as I walk to catch the train to take it to work. Anyway, there is always this cute little white Bichon Frise in the yard and this dog is always well groomed and happy looking. He's such a little doll! Anyway, on friday night my hubby and I were driving home and we spotted this poor little guy running across a street being chased by 4 kids (probably around 10 years old). They were trying to catch him. We were at least 15 blocks from my neighbors home - they apparently chased this dog a long way!! I IMMEDIATELY got out of the car and chased the kids. It took us about 15 minutes but finally my hubby managed to calm the poor dog down and get him into out car. Those bratty kids said they opened the fence to this dog's yard and tried to play w/ him. But I guess they scared him and he ran away. To make a long story short, I took the dog back home and the husband and wife were SO HAPPY! The wife was crying and she had called her whole family to come over and look for her dog. She was really hysterical crying the poor woman. I just can't believe that I found her dog so far from home. I'm so glad he's back home now, the little guy was so scared and shaking! But the minute she held him he stopped shaking and started licking her. I honestly think those kids were trying to steal her dog! grrrrrrr

| In the kids defense I had a Bichon that was a door darter. If he could get out the door he would run 500 miles and hour. My husband threatened to shoot him several times. He didn't stop for long periods of time. He would just run and run. He lives with another family now and will still do the same thing so they really keep and eye on him. Maybe this was the case with this dog.

| You are officially one of our Ace Ventura Pet Detectives. Nice job saving that poor little guy. WHAT HORRIBLE KIDS!!! I would have cornered the kids and beat them!!! Sorry that's my mean streak when people are mean to smaller, and sweeter beings.

| Why would they have open the gate door on some body's property to pet someone elses dog with out their permission? You just don't do things like that!

| Good Job! I am so happy that you saved that poor little Bichon! As I read your story, I got the impression those kids wanted to steal the dog. How could someone do that, or even pick on a poor helpless little dog. It's a good thing that you were there to save the little guy! |

| I am sitting here wondering why anyone would leave a Bichon outside on its own, even if they considered the property secure.. JMO but, Idon't think any of these smaller dogs should be left out un-attended. I am NOT taking up for those brats, but I do hope the Bichon owners have learned a lesson from this..I am soooooooo happy you came along when you did. This is yet another example of being where you are supposed to be when you are supposed to be there. Thank you and thank the Creator!!!!!! |
