| We've called him Poop for the longest time and now with good reason. It started yesterday with Gus acting a little off. Not pooping first thing in the morning, not eating well, sleeping a lot during the day (unusual for him) but by early evening he ate and was back to his feisty self. Right before bed we go out to potty. He's trying but nothing is happening. Finally, we have poop but it looks dark and in the bad light almost like blood. I get some paper to check him and it's okay (poop colored not red) but then I notice the smell. I think he must have poop in his fur but I can't find it. On closer inspection, it is stuck in his butt. Here's where the fun begins and where the easily disgusted may want to stop reading. I try to get it out with paper but it is not working. Then I feel something that feels like a small piece of metal or maybe glass. He was with me all day and I can't think of how he could have eaten something like that but you never know -- Gus will turn up his nose at certain dog foods but will swallow a rock. So I'm freaking out remembering how he was not feeling well earlier. Forget the paper. I need to feel what this is and what I'm doing. I work my way through the poop and can tell the object is mostly out of him so I pull it out. I have no idea what it was, it wasn't glass or metal. It was strong but snapped apart almost like dog food but long and thin. Really weird. After that was out, I was able to wash the poop right off. If you looked up happy in the dictionary then you would have seen a picture of him. He even did the crazy yorkie run around the room. I was fingertip deep in dog poop! Now they call me Poop Checker. If that isn't love, I don't know what is!!! This is my favorite picture of Poop..

| He's a cutie. I'm glad (even though it was a messy affair) that everything is back in order now.

| AWWWW!! Poor little stinker!! He sure is beautiful!!.......... Been there- done that.... When my Jack was a pup he wasn't going either, then I saw someone post on YT about the same problem. Someone older & wiser than I suggested there may be hair holding it back, so I dive in, bare handed, just like you. Sure enough it was packed in by a wall of hair What we won't do

| I'm glad everything came out all right. I've had to do this too. Once Bentley had a long string that came out with the poo, yuck! Unbeknown to me he had been chewing on the bottom of my mop and that's where the thread came from. By the way, "Poop" is gorgeous!!
