| Greetings Hi everyone from Barb in Canada. I love this site and hope to learn all I can about yorkies as I am a first time owner of the breed. My little 5 month old guy Dexter is also very over active and drives our toy poodle crazy. I'm hoping someone can advise me on how to get our dogs to become friends. We got Dexter when he was 12 weeks old @2.2 lbs and our poodle still runs away from him. Any ideas are welcome....Thanks |

| Hi and welcome! Sorry that you are having problems with your pets getting along.....I have the same issue with my Yorkie and a Persian cat! When Daisy gets the 'zoomies' the cat chooses to flee the room or jump up onto higher up furniture. My other two cats will hold their ground and even play with Daisy. I suppose my advice would be to make sure the poodle has an 'escape route' of sorts when the puppy play gets to be too much for her, and to always supervise closely. The puppy should calm down a bit with age. Best wishes.........
