| Parents I need your help!! To all parents that work or have to leave there Yorkies more than 2 hours at a time I need your help! Can you please provide or post up pictures of the area or room where you leave your Yorkies while your at at work or out of the house for more than 2 hours. Todays Mia's first day alone for more than 2 hours. Right now Im at work and my wife is also at work. It is 9:16a.m. here in El Paso and my wife wont get out of work till 4:30 p.m., so Mia will be alone for a long time. We left her in the restroom with her food and water and her blnaket and toys. I dont know if this is the proper room to leave her in while we are gone. Thats why I would love to have some pictures of your Yorkies area or room so I can get an idea of what type of set up I need for Mia while shes alone. You can email me pics at chris.barron@us.yazaki.com |

| I don't work but there's some days I have a lot of running around to do and have to leave Brutus for a few hours. I don't have pictures but he stays in the laundry room. I don't close the door, I use a baby gate. He has his food, water, bed, toys and pee pad in there.

| At 6 weeks Mia...is very young to be left alone for that long..IMO...I work from 9-5 and my bf from 8:30-4 and we got Maximus at 10 weeks...but he is never left alone for more then 4 hours at a time..I leave at 8:40 and my bf comes home at 12 to feed Maximus lunch and stay with him till 1 pm at which time he goes back to work..he then is back home at 4:15..also Maximus has the living room and it is gated off (baby gate) and puppy proofed.. (no wires or anything harmful) that he could get his paws into. Also at 6 weeks she needs to be eating 3-4 times a day at least as well as getting LOTS of interaction...she could be having a hypoglycemic attack if she is not eating during the day..is stressed etc.... I know your intentions are GREAT..and I don't mean to sound rude..but this baby should not be home alone that long..and most people would say that you should start crate training but due to the long hours away from home this would be impossible with a pup that small because she would not be able to hold her bladder. Most puppies shouldn't even be taken away from there mom before 10 weeks..and some members here have gotten them at 6-7 weeks but have been able to stay with them and give them full-time attention.

| Well, the bathroom might be okay, as long as you puppy proof it (put trash cans and Toilet Paper up high and anything else they can get into), but I found mine didn't like being so closed up. I use this pen and put mine in the living room. I really love it because it makes a large rectangle, so I can put bed at one end and wee wee pad at the other. Also, it makes a large octagon, so when we go outside, I can put it in that shape and my babies can run around the yard. You can also take two panels off and use it as a square and the other two to block off an area if you need be. I paid $59.95 for it at our local Toys R Us. Here is the link to the picture: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg...=baby&n=540992 Hope that helps!

I'll take a picture and post it later but I only wokr out of my house one day a week and on that day I have to put CHloe in a crate. I bought the biggest one you could buy at walmart and it has 2 small blankets, 2 toys, and food & water in it and a puppy pad. And when it was colder I had a heating pad on one side of the crate.

Sorry to sound so concerned but we have just heard some scary stories and we are concerned about the puppy. She need 24/7 care at her age. Leaving her for as long as you have indicated is too long. She is like a tiny infant. There are altrnatives but you need to find a puppysitter or something to be with her. | |

| With your dog being that young you definetly need a way to make sure they can eat. When my baby was younger, If I had to be gone more than 4 hours I made sure my friend would come over and check on her.My little baby was 12 weeks when we got her but she is tiny and had hypoglycemic problems. They need to be able to eat every few hours.

| Oh yes, I forgot to add that I also put food and water in the pen with my two little ones along with some toys.

| I kept my babies in this type cage, the one above looks pretty good, almost the same and about the same price. This one is probably a little lighter to move around. I keep their crate, food and water, toys, pee pee pad in 4' x 4' cage.

| I also think Mia is too young to be left alone for long periods of time. Is best if you can find her a sitter to stay with her when you are not home. You can ger her into puppy day care. I dont know how young they take the pups but that is something you can look into. Good luck and please keep us posted. |

| Poor baby! She is too young to be away from her litter yet, much less be alone that long. I assume she is in the air conditioning, right?
