| Well, we recently moved from an apartment to a townhouse w/ our 5 mo old Meka. She did pretty good. It was interesting to see her reaction to our old place when it was completely empty w/ no furniture. She ran around the house frantic, looking for familiar smells - it was almost like she was worried !?! Never the less, after two weeks in the new place - she is finally comfortable. Even running up and down our new stairs (two story). I keep her in her "area" downstairs, with bed, a pee pad and water. The pee pads are slowly working for us. There's a spray that you can use to mark the spot where you want them to go (i.e. pee pad, outside)... That helps... Be persistant! Hope this helps

| Parker is very nervous in general, so I was really worried when I moved earlier this year. But I had the chance to get into my new apartment beforehand, to do some painting and cleaning etc. So I made sure to bring Parker with me while we did all that, just to get used to the place. I was totally shocked that he did remarkable well with the transition. Moving day was stressful on him, when the rooms were emptied out he kept running around in circles at the old place. This is funny though... I had a waterbed, which he always slept in, when we drained it, he took a running leap onto the bed.....and there was no mattress just the empty frame..the look on his face was priceless hahaha "what? where's my bed? what happened to my bed?" Poor guy. But all kidding aside he adjusted just fine to the new place, I had no problems, and he's a very nervous little guy. Maybe let someone else keep him on moving day, Parker just didn't know what to think watching everything being taken out of the house lol. And get him used to any new stairs. We use the puppy pads for inside, keep taking him to the pads, so he knows where they will be in the new apt. Best of luck! |

| I just think it will take a few weeks for your baby to adjust to the new environment. You'll have to be dillegent with your training until he/she get's retrained.

| watch out i lived in an apt when i first got my yorkie and he was teething and scratched the corners of my apt. anything that had a corner to it, he put his teeth to. i just closed on a home and when i leave this apt, i know there are going to charge me.. My advice is to out him in a big crate, with enough room to move and for food and water |

| Yup... ours chew EVERY corner!! We have an X pen we got from petsmart for about $70.00. It was kinda alot for us but it was WELL Worth it. We just put them in the kitchen. I dont know about anyone else here, but ours will not go potty in their pen. They will hold it all day long and then go when we get home. So what we have done is when we get home we put them on the potty pads and tell them "Go Potty". I am also a college student and we live off campus but are not allowed to have dogs But we do still, but I understand if you are unable to take her outside. Just watch her and when she looks like she is about to go potty take her to her pee pad and tell her go potty. Ours are both potty trained on puppy pads and they are doing great. We are moving into a condo in three weeks so I will keep you updated on how well it goes.
