| The wonders of a doggie door. The parti girls have only been here about 10 days, and they aren't even 12 weeks old yet, and they already know to go outside to poop. I have seen them run out just to poop and come back in. We're still working on peeing, that's hit and miss. |

| And I bet your babies do too. Mine love the freedom, and it made all the difference in the world, with my older two, and now the little ones have caught on in a flash. It only took them 3 days to learn to go through it, and it was so funny to watch them. l;earn. The pee pad is history for now anyway. |

| Well I sure wish Izzy would catch on. The doggie door did the trick with Cody, but I can't get Izzy to go through it. I've tried treats to and she won't go through. I know if she'd figure it out it just may work with her. She is 15 weeks so she should be figuring this out by now

I just kept putting the little guys through it, then I'd go in and leave them on the outsdie, and they'd start to paw at it, I would then open it for them and they would come through. Soon they were going through on their own. | |

| what i would do with harley before he caught on, everytime he needed to go out, i would kind of push him through the hole instead of opening the door for him.... after doing that for a while he just started doing it.

| If I hadn't done minef myself, it would still be in the box. I'm a pretty good do it yourselfer. I'm much to impatient to wait for some one else to get around to doing things. |

| also i left my bells on the door that he was used to ringing to let me know and it was so pityful, he would run to the door and ring the bells and look at me like "let me out!!! i'm ringing these stupid bells whats the problem". poor fella! but he did catch on after being pushed through the hole a few times

| oh yes I miss my doggie door. Hubby is building a new fence so it's off limits right now, it makes it much easier. On the other hand I dont like them going out there without me. I live in the country and I am so afraid I am going be busy in the house doing something and then something is going to happen. But I do love the doggie door. |

| Maybe I should try the putting her through it. I don't put her through it usually. I have a couple times when I am to lazy to go out with her Yesterday she was out there and she shoved on the door so that I would let her in. That is when I tried to give her treats to come in but she wouldn't do it. I think she is still a little timid of it. It is a little bigger door cause my Cody is 15# She is only 3.9#

| I loved our doggie door when we had it in Florida! The boyz caught on quickly and would run in and out all day and...no accidents inside! We had the smallest door installed but the plastic was kind of stiff so it was hard for them to go through. When we sold the house the new owner had a larger dog so we installed a door in the next size up for her and it was a lot easier for the boyz to go through. We can't have one here though...too many wild animals to feel comfortable letting my boyz out unattended. For those having trouble training your dog to go through the door...use treats as a bribe...it works. |
