| I saw in the petedge catalog a tape that doesn't stick to their fur or skin, it only sticks to the tape. You can check petedge.com for it.

Luvs Lulu Donating Member | You can hold off a bit on the taping. First thing to do is shave the ears so that weight is off. Usually they tape them if by about 18 or so weeks they are not standing. Also just to mention while they are teething for some reason the ears flop down and go back up. You can give him a bit of cottage cheese for the calcium to help in the strengthening of the ears as I was told.

| i am a firm believer in masking tape. i answered a similar question yesterday. if my dogs ears aren't up way before they are twelve weeks old, they go into tape. If you want a yorkie with erect ears, the longer you wait the less likely it is that they will go up. Waiting until they are 18-20 weeks oldd is too long. At least for me. I cut little squares of masking tape close to the size of the ear. Put one peice on each side of the ear on both sides then I fold another longer peice andd put it across the top of the head. they look like little nurses. i shave a week or two before I go to the tape. |

| Welll, I have one in tape right now and took the other ones tape off yesterday. I have only been leaving it for three days and they have been flopping right back down in a day or two. mine are teething. i have added cottage cheese to their monring diet. I have been told to leave it up for at least five days but i feel sorry for them altho it doesn't seem to bother them. The one that came out yesterday, her tape was pulled off by the other puppy. it was off one side and she was holding them both up so I took the rest of it off. Renegade has had his on now for four days. i will take it off sometime tomorrow and see what happens. |

My Tiny Treasures Donating Member | Picture I only use masking tape. I leave them on 3 days tops, remove for a day and retape if needed. What I do is gently fold the ear in half the long way and very gently wrap the tape at the base. With those little ears it goes up high. To remove I very carefully cut the tape and as carefully as I can...remove it. I also shave the ears first. Here is a picture. |

| i don't fold the ears. Reason being, the first time I taped nursey (sadie) i did fold her ears and one of them had a hard time straightening out. It looked rolled up for awhile. Scared the bgeez out of me. |
