You can hold off a bit on the taping. First thing to do is shave the ears so that weight is off. Usually they tape them if by about 18 or so weeks they are not standing. Also just to mention while they are teething for some reason the ears flop down and go back up. You can give him a bit of cottage cheese for the calcium to help in the strengthening of the ears as I was told.
