Peeka Boo I See You! Donating Member | I'm So Sad.... I feel so bad for Daisy i don't know what to do. As some of you know she has Giardia and i have to isolate her. It's so hard for me she wants to play and run around but the risk of infection to Peeka and us scares me. We found out 4 days after we got her i'm scared Peeka has it now to. He is constantly licking her butt. Also the poop in my yard i don't pick up they poop in the corner and it's out of the way well for 4 days she pooped in my yard and it snowed i have no way to find all her poop and dispose of it. i'm so stressed out. Does anyone have any advise on what to do with her? she just finished her last pill last night. Also when i take her out to poop i let her do her business i come in wipe her wash my hands go put on gloves and go out to pick up her poop well it's so cold here by the time i get back out there the poop is frozen and it's so hard to get it up and it's so sticky it like cements itself to what ever it touches.aaggghhhh

| If she has finished her medication hopefully Giardia is no longer in her poop. Take a fecal sample in to the vet and have it checked to be sure. Just use gloves to clean up the yard waste. Probably not much more you can do.

| Giardia What was the treatment they used? I know when we treat for Giardia we also treat for Coccidia. We use Metronitizole for 5 days, Albon for 8 to 10 days and then Metronitizole for another 5 days. That seems to knock out the problem. You have to remember that they are now carriers (lifetime). Once they have it they go dormant but you have to treat all puppies from them also with the same as above.
