Peeka Boo I See You! Donating Member | I Need Help With Something!! OK all you sewers i need some help i have been tinkering around making vest harnesses for a few months now i have only made a few for Peeka and Boo but i have had so many compliments from local people and they have asked me to make a few. I am a beginner sewer to say the least. i have a pretty good concept and pattern but i'm having problems with the technique. i sew either a webbing or a piece of bias tape to hold the D-ring on but i just can't get the sewing machine close enough to the D-ring to make it look nice. i have tried the zig-zag pattern stitch which seems the easiest but i really like the crisp clean look of the straight stitch. I really don't want to make these for others if the are not up to par i'm attaching pics. the red one is for Daisy and i tried the straight stitch but it doesn't look great the green one i made a few months ago for Peeka it's a little ragged and had some punch spilled on it lol and it has the zig-zag it's really hard to see please be honest and tell me what you all think and any tips would be greatly appreciated.

| I think they look great. Does your machine have an option where you can move the needle all the way to the right or left? If so, this will help you get closer to the D ring. Just make sure your webbing material is wide enough so in case your D ring has a split in it that it won't turn. I prefer the straight stich look, but make sure you sew all the way across the webbing.

| Amber, try using a zipper foot. It will help you get a bit closer. Your harness vests look GREAT! Keep up the good work. |

| They look great. I move the needle to one side so I can get closer. I go back and forth over it about 4 times to make sure that it doesn't come loose. |

| ^5 (high 5) Amber, Those are to cute, and since you have such talent, you can stop shopping for her. I better not see you in another post or doggy website purchasing anything. I'm gonna refer you to shoppers anonymous. You have a really nice talent, I can't sew a button on.

| Your doing really well for just learning. I would suggest moving th D ring higher. It works better when it's up close to rib cage. Also use either a wider bias tape or the heavy weave sold by the yard, that is as wide as the inside of the D ring. Everyone wanted me to make them something too when I first got started, but I just didn't have the time. Be careful. |

| lol! Amber I'm not helping your shopping habits by sharing this info, but OMG I was in Burlington coat factory. They have the cutest doggy stuff, I bought Kodak a camoflauge hooded quilted coat for $9.99. I got my little girl the pink playboy rhinestone shirt, and the pink playboy coat. Can't take pics of her because I don't have her yet. I feel like you did, the waiting is the worse.
