| Swimming Pools I've only been a member for a little over a year and I have just recently started getting really addicted to checking out this site every morning (I'm currently off work for about 8 weeks so I have the time). I haven't heard any experiences with yorkies enjoying swimming. My oldest Reesie just loves to jump in the pool. She even has her own raft to float on. She's also very protective of anyone jumping off the diving board. Our newest baby is only 5 months so I will excited to see how she reacts to the pool. Especially with her big sister loving it so much. We have a separate iron fence around our pool so she can't have access unless we let her in. I've heard of alot of yorkies drowning in pools. Has anyone had any experiences with this ? |

| My chihuahua loves to swim in the pool but we never let Lillian swim i'm too scared to let her go by herself. Do you think the pool chemicals are safe for them? i'd love to have all 3 swimming around with us. |

Salt water? is that for underground pools only? Thats terrible! how do they leave the pool unattended and ungated like that? of course the dog will try to swim even when your not there they think everything is a game they don't understand. | |

| We just got our pool put up last year. We have an above groud, so they can only get in when we get in. Brasco loved the water! He would just do his little doggie paddle thing all thru the pool and just have a ball! Luigi, would get in, and rush right to the ladder and try to get out! LOL! And Livvi, HATED the water!!! If we tried to put her in, she would dig her claws into us and act like it was the end of the world!!!! So I did get them a raft to be on, but Brasco will keep jumping off it to swim, Weeg would wait for it to float by the ladder and try to get off, and Livv would start to shake like crazy, so she just stays in the sun on the grass! LOL! We will see what happens again this summer!

| Sunshine is adorable. Our newest baby Abbie is 5 months old and I'm thinking she is going to be simular to your Sunshine. It looks like she needs her roots done to cover up the gray. Like mother, like daughter. I can't wait for her to get her first puppy cut to see the color change. At what age did Sunshine start changing colors? |

| Princess loves our pool. She loves water so much we have a small pool just for her. But for our pool she has her very own boat. She just loves it. In the summer I kep her in a puppy cut, because she's in the water so much.
