I'm not sure about salt water for an above ground pool. I wouldn't think it would be a problem, but you would just have to ask your pool supplier. It's about a $1200.00 conversion to switch over. A little pricey but well worth it in the long run because you will make that up on your maintenance costs and the salt won't burn your eyes and is very good for your skin.
