| Anyone regret getting second yorkie? I'm a bit nervous, wondering if we're making the right decision, bringing another yorkie into the house, but we contacted Topher's breeder and are now on the lookout for a little sis for him! Topher is such a great little guy...I hope his nose isn't too much out of joint when we bring a new little one in the house. Does anyone regret bringing another pup into the house? Was it alot easier with one? |

| We had a female maltese first and we wanted a companion for her and along came the opportunity to get a male yorkie. He was six months old and she is four years old so he is all play and being older and more docile, he was a bit annoying at first but they are best buds now and sleep together, share their food bowls with each other and play alot together.........I'll always have two dogs now!

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | No way do I regret it - Chanel was jealous for about 4 months but finally realized Cheri is a GREAT Squeaky toy and they're best friends now....if you've ever seen all the kissing pics I've posted they dispute the fact that females or 2 of the same sex get jealous.....I LOVE having 2 - it's more work but double the fun. I felt like you - I was worried about Chanel and didn't really want to share her - now I know it just enhanced our lives getting Cheri.... and I think one of each sex is probably even easier - I bet they become good friends fast....GOOD LUCK ! |

| Nope, don't regret it for a moment. I will always have two from now on, as well. I will say it IS tougher at first, but then it all evens out

| Oscar took to Ruthie almost immediatly - I think he was really desperate for a playmate as there were NO other dogs around for him to play with. I made sure to put him first for awhile though so his routine wasn't disrupted with the arrival of a new puppy - he still slept on the bed with me, new puppy slept on the floor (which she was totally fine with too), he always got the first treat, etc. etc. It's worked out really well. And I feel good knowing that when I have to leave them home, they have each other for company. I just have to teach the little weasels to WALK together when we're out for a walk - it would make things so much easier!

| I was in a similar situation as you...I had a male and I wanted another yorkie, a female, so Hobbs would have a playmate. We contacted Hobbs' breeder and put a deposit on a female that was from Hobbs same parents. After we put down our deposit, I started feeling very apprehensive about bringing another yorkie into our home because everything seemed to be going SO well. We brought Hootie home when Hobbs was 8 months old. It took Hobbs a good week to get used to Hootie, but now we've had Hootie for 5 months and she and Hobbs are INSEPARABLE!! They keep each other company, they are the best playmates, and they love each other to death. It is not any harder having 2 than just having one. The one and only drawback that I can possibly think of is the financial aspect of paying vet bills for 2 dogs. But that is slight compared to all the wonderful positives that come with having 2+ yorkies. I know you will not regret it one bit. |

| I cant imagine my life without at least 2, currently have 3 males. Their ages are so spread out - 13, 6 and 6 months, I was able to get my husband to agree that I get a new puppy at least every 5 years! |
