Oscar took to Ruthie almost immediatly - I think he was really desperate for a playmate as there were NO other dogs around for him to play with. I made sure to put him first for awhile though so his routine wasn't disrupted with the arrival of a new puppy - he still slept on the bed with me, new puppy slept on the floor (which she was totally fine with too), he always got the first treat, etc. etc. It's worked out really well. And I feel good knowing that when I have to leave them home, they have each other for company. I just have to teach the little weasels to WALK together when we're out for a walk - it would make things so much easier! |
