Just Wrong My neighbors kid has been wannting a Yorkie like Mines for the longest time ,They got a rabbit of course after I got mine but anyways when it came to getting a small dog they got rid of the bunny for a dog then the dog they got was a mutt and was cute as a puppy but to them I guess got to big and ugly so one day they open the door and let the dog go and he never was seen again I guess it was better for him because mom would forget to buy food for him. Now she finally got a yorkie suposebly for 200 bucks from 1600 cause her freind had to sell it any way I feel real bad for that poor yorkie because the dogs they had in the past were treating wrong they leave them in the back and forget about them but even if they keep this dog inside the mom shares a room with her 6 yr old and a 2 yr old and her parents hate animals so I doubt he will even be allowed to roam the house and since mom does not come home till late at night he might not get fed and will be left with the 6 and 2 yr old to do as they please to the poor little guy because they are the type to think animals are toys and not tell her kids anything. Im affraid to thing what will happen to the little guy when he starts to mark every where and poop in wrong places and since mom is so busywhat about his weekly bath and grooming? anyways I had to get this off my chest Thanks for reading , I will keep My eye on the little guy and if I see anything bad I swear Im going to report them but who do I call?

You could call animal control and see what their policies are in advance! Further, see if there is an ASPCA in your area that could do a courtesy call on the house or if they have a policing agency specifically held to helping animals in need. If so, they'd be the first you should call if you hear/see something. Unfortunantely, I think that everyone has the right to ownership of pets and until they make a mistake, they cannot be held for something wrong they haven't done yet. But if you're concerned, don't keep quiet! Maybe offer her some assistance and just make your presence be known?

OK, this is a little off the wall but... I would check on him regularly, especially if he is outside. They probably do not know what they are in for. Depending on how your relationship with your neighbor is maybe you can have play dates to check on him. Then, once they grow tired of him he can stay with you.

I don't blam you for being concerned. It sounds like a horrible situation for the poor little thing. And anyone who believes they can just turn an animal loose when they get tired of it, is not very responsible. what are they teaching the children.

Are you saying a 6 and 2 year old are being left alone? If so -- that is what you need to report ASAP.
