I had tapped Emmy's ears at first too and it always hurt her and ripped off her hair. The ears would stand straight up for a few days then droop again. So finally I didn't want to tape them anymore because it was hurting her. Both the ears went floppy. In a few weeks time, her ears started standing by themselves and have been ever since. The vet said the tape method is a myth and they need to build the cartalage to hold the ears on their own. The vet said also play and rub their ears. Give it some time without the tape, and see what happens -Ashley & Emmy

I taped Bobby's ears once and used the cloth-like bandage tape that you can get in the first-aid section of stores. It was soft but sturdy and I had no problem removing it. Bobby didn't even mind having it on! He didn't keep scratching or trying to remove it, probably because it was soft. I had his ears shaved today and they're standing up! Yay!!!! Julie

blue tape... don't laugh people but I actually use blue paint tape ..... the kind you get at Home Depot. It is stiffer and it is not sticky so I don't have a problem taking it off. Sometimes the puppies will rip it off each other cause it's soooo colorful but for the most part.... it does really well.
