I had tapped Emmy's ears at first too and it always hurt her and ripped off her hair. The ears would stand straight up for a few days then droop again. So finally I didn't want to tape them anymore because it was hurting her. Both the ears went floppy. In a few weeks time, her ears started standing by themselves and have been ever since. The vet said the tape method is a myth and they need to build the cartalage to hold the ears on their own. The vet said also play and rub their ears. Give it some time without the tape, and see what happens
