| I'm in love...I bet you are too!!! [Disclaimer: This is a very corny (sp?) post, please ignore if it's not that kind of day] Hi YT! I am new to Yorkie Talk but I want to tell everyone I am in love with Boss, my puppy, that has been with us for almost two weeks. He's perfect. As I'm writing this he asleep on my lap curled up into a ball. He's perfect, and I credit YT for giving me all the info I needed to bring him home and now to take care of him. I am posting this because I want to hear about everyone else's love! In My Yorkie we post pictures, but I want to here about the moments when you realize that you are in love with your furbaby. If it's not too much, post when you fell in, whether it was love at first sight or then they first looked at you with those eyes and kissed your whole face. I know everyone loves their babies, and I think it will be reassuring to so many people on YT who are thinking about getting a puppy and are frustrated and nervous. I think it will really help so many remember what all of this is about and that all the stress and work is soooo worth it!

| Awww what a sweet thread...I fell in love with Vivi the very first time I held her...she kissed me and that was it. I have never felt quite this way about a dog....I loved my golden retrievers but it is different with Yorkies. She is a little lovebug who loves to snuggle and she looks at me with her big brown eyes and I melt....I could go on and on..Yorkies are the best!!!!

| It was love at first site here. I knocked on the breeders door and said hi could see My Little Mickey in a playpen behind her and walked right past her and picked him up kissed him and said hes mine. I did say how sorry I was for being rude. But I just had to pick him up. lol Good thing it was the one she was selling. lol and with Minnie it was the same was except they brought the puppies out to te living room and she was the first one I picked up and that was it. I love my babies and they was worth every penny. They give me more then I knew was possible. |

Banning Thread Dictator Donating Member | I agree with Yorkieshadow, it was love at first sight. Only it wasn't even Eddie, it was the breed. We had just lost a chihuahua, and my wife was devastated. I encouraged her to get another dog as soon as she felt up to it. She started researching breeds on the 'Net and kept showing me pictures of this breed and that. One day, she showed me a Yorkie puppy, and I just melted. I soooo wanted her to get a Yorkie. As fate would have it, a couple weeks later my wife visited an acquaintance who was terribly allergic to her 8 week old Yorkie pup. She brought it home for me to see, and he had the identical face I'd seen in that picture. She said "Can I have it?" My answer? "Anything for you, dear!"

| The first time I saw N'Stein he was 4 weeks old and he was so tiny, I put him on my heart and the feeling I had at that moment is that I need me as a protector, so that's how I feld in love with him. I was looking for a strong and heavy doggy bear and finally I have a loving doggy that's need me and he weights 4 lb instead of the 6 or 7 he was suppose too, but he is my "man" has I call him.

| We all have that same feeling. We are all in love with our babies, that is why we spoil them so.

| That is so sweet, and I know exactly how you feel. I have loved my little Zeus from the very first time I saw his pic, even before I met him! He amazes me more and more everyday with how smart and adorable he is. Yorkies have a love for their families like no other and I wouldn't trade my little one for anything!!

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I fell in love with Cali when the Breeder brought her out and handed her to me and she fit in the palm of my hand. She was 6 weeks old. I didn't think could wait 3-4 weks to get her. Luckily my cousins came over from England for 3 weeks so i was busy with them. I love Cali so much I am afraid. I told myself today that I have to stop obsessing about her health and take it day by day. She is everything I wanted in a furbaby.

| Great thread!! I'm in love too!!! When my pug, Arizona passed away two days before Christmas I didn't even know what to think. She was a handicapped girl and she required so much extra care and love. After ten years of life with her, I couldn't imagine life without her. I decided that I might look for rescues at some point, but wasn't in any kind of hurry. Bailey (named after Bailey Colorado, a beautiful CO mountain town) was really sad and all I could do was cry. If you are interested in reading our tribute to Arizona you can see it on Bailey's blog here: http://baywee.blogspot.com/2005/12/m...r-arizona.html We spent all of January very lonesome... Then this little tadpole fell into our laps. I'm smiling, Bailey is happy and even though we still miss Arizona terribly, we can move on and we have new focus and joy in our house again. Thanks Frogknot for giving us our smiles back!! |

| OH GOODNESS!!!! I first fell in love when I was looking for a little yorkie pup on the internet. The moment I saw him I was in love. He was goregous. Teeny and just beautiful. My boyfriend came home and I said look how precious. I want him. He then went on to say that we didn't have the money right now for a dog. I kept on begging and begging and then I had to leave to go back to work(I had been on an hour lunch). He calls me at work and says ok pick a number. I asked why and he said because he had two pups picked out and asked if I would help out if he got one. I said yes and proceeded to ask if the one I asked for was one of them. he said yes and I said ok I choose number one. Luckily for me it was my baby I had looked at. a few weeks later, he drove up and brought me our little bundle of joy. Then I fell really hard when I saw him running around the house, and when he curled up in my lap and fell asleep. I keep falling more and more in love with him six months later. I fell the most though when he discovered his little voice. heres a pic of him his first day home.(ten weeks old, one pound nine oz.)

| We have had many dogs over the years. Some I was more attached to than others, but none that I have felt the same way about as I do Jasmine. I totally adore her. My husband loves her as much as I do. I don't know what it is about this breed, but they are really something special. |
