| What???!!!! Does anyone elses baby talk back to you when you say certain words? So If I'm watching TV and Coco FEELS like she's being ignored, she'll growl and give a pathetic bark. Then I always get down to her level and say "What, what is it momma" and she will give me another bark. The more I say "WHAT?" the more she barks, it's so cute. And if my hand moves she will chase it..I am just so in love with her and her shenanigans. Anyone else got talker backers?

Yorkie Lover Donating Member | I have a back talker big time!!! Sailor does the same thing...if she feels like she is being ignored at all, she will talk to you until you notice her and then she will just continue to bark until you are able to figure out what she wants!! Magic is the one who feels like she always has to get in the last word...when we talk to her she always has to bark back at the end...it is so funny!!

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | That's so cute - Chanel and I chatter all the time - she even repeats me.... I try with Cheri but she just looks at me like I'm insane trying to teach her to say 'MAMA' and then gives me a kiss - I guess to make me feel less nuts. |

| It is totally funny. Coco usually doesn't bark so when people come over and want to hear her bark, I just ignore her and she'll attack my fingers and toes and growl, then finally when I look at her and say "What?" she talks back..She has the cutest bark. Magic and Sailor sound like so much fun.

| Awwww that is really cute.Vivi does something similar. She will get right up in my face nose to nose and let out this really soft bark. She knows she is not supposed to bark in my face so she tries to be as quiet as she can. And then if I say"What is it" she will try so hard to communicate that I swear she is trying to talk.Sometimes I feel so bad that I don't speak Yorkie

I have Chanel saying " I wanna Treat" -4 funny noises... "Mama" -2 funny noises... "I wanna KISS" -4 funny noises and of course "I LOVE YOU" - 3 REALLY great noises.... It's hilarious ...She looks me right in the eye and word for word repeats me - my husband and I both can hear her really trying ....and she gets all the syllables right. And yes...I KNOW she can't really TALK but she sure says alot ! | |

| Sophie is a big talker. She loves to argue. If she wants to eat she will growl at us until we get her food. Then she won't eat it until you tell her she can't have it and argue back and forth with her for a minute or two. Then I will say o.k. you win her you go and she will chow down. She is really bossy and she loves it when she gets her way. Which is always. LOL! |

| Starsky is a talker too or a complainer. I'll see him getting into the trash can and I will say "NO you can't get into that trash can, that is a no no". He'll look at me and growl "arahraharhahara". Like he is saying something under his tongue. He barks when he wants attention and I'll bark back and it's a barking fest between the 2 of us. If I bark first, he tips his head and looks at me like I'm nuts! I swear these guys are part human. I have never known another breed of dog that will act like this.

| Thank God!! We thought Toto was the only one who "talked"!! She very seldom ever actually barks but she has the sweetest little tiny voice and she talks to us all the time!! And I swear, we have tried different commands/sentences with different "tones" & she DOES know what we are telling her!! AND she talks back to us! I am so thankful for a place to say these things and people don't think I am absolutely crazy!!

| My little guy is the same.....he has different barks, noises, whines, etc for different situations! Sometimes, it is like he is trying soooo hard to say something. I, too, (thankfully, I'm not the only one) am trying to get him to say "love you" and "mama". Aren't they the BEST furbabies EVER??!!! I am glad to have a Yorkie family that understands where I am coming from and doesn't think I am mental like my human family does!!!

| I thought I was the only crazy one trying to teach mine to say "I love you". I say it in America funniest home videos. There were dogs on there that said it and some were really clear. Since then I've been trying to get Scruffy to say it! |
