| My Yorkie Puppy Still looks Like A Newborn Hello, I have a 12 week old yorkie and her hair isn't a growing. She still looks like a newborn pup(that's how short her hair is) and it has me worried that I didn't receive a pure bred yorkie. I have seen the mom and the dad and they are yorkie. Has anyone else had this issue and if so how long did it take for the hair to grow? |

| Do you have any papers? She is extremely cute but I don’t think she is full Yorkie. Sometimes people lie about which dogs are the parents so they can scam people.

| You ever heard the expression Mommas baby Daddy’s maybe ? You saw the parents so it’s possible they are the parents but your pup looks a bit chihuahua to me.

| No she doesn't have papers. I asked her about the hair but she said that it took her mom a long time and the grandma even longer. Her mom was young(not even a year old) when she had her and I was wondering if that had something to do with her slow growth. |

| She looks to have some chihuahua in her, BUT she's very young so there's still lots of time for lots of changes--and yorkies are infamous for changing coloring, etc. She is a thousand percent adorable and I'm sure you'll love her ever so much, no matter what she! |

| That poor mom dog still a puppy giving birth to a puppy. I can tell you right now these were not great people letting that happen so I would not be surprised if they lied to you. At least you have her now and can give her a good loving home. That really would not have a hair growth effect on the puppy and she really although sooooooo cute I believe is a mix.

| she is darling but does not look purebred at all, you should post some more photos without clothes it would help a bit. also goggle yorkie puppies so you see how most look. how long have you had her? I guess this is a pretty nosy question so you don't have to answer but how much did you pay for her. If you paid $1,000 or somewhere in the neighborhood than you should expect a bit more from the breeder, papers, guarantees etc, but if you paid around $400.00 i would say there is good chance the "breeder" knew what she was selling and it was not purebred. Also not sure what type of guarantee this person/breeder gave you but it's up to you to decide if you really wanted a purebred dog to get what you want, a dog can live a lot of years and if you will not be happy with a mix then now is the time to ask for refund and move on. If it does not matter what the pup will look like than just get her vetted well (including a blood work up that includes liver info) and love her. Best of luck to you
