Yorkie Talker | another question Thor seems to be doing well we bought him for our daughter. He seems good with her and my wife. I have been away since we got him. We got him last winds day today is Sunday I will meet him tonight. What are the chances of him bonding to more than one person. I will be home with him most of the time as I am retired. |

| Bonding, dogs bond with the person that feeds them, walks them, plays with them, cares for them, that is not to say they will bond with one person only. There are many dogs that bond with the person that does the least for them lol. Have no fear of bonding with this lil fur baby. Treats, praise, and nice long walks works wonders.

| I think if you're relaxed and accepting, Thor will feel more empowered and more likely to want to be with you. Plus, you'll have that 'guy' thing going for you! Have fun and enjoy your little buddy! |

| He will bond with everyone willing to help with him Teddy loves my dad to death since he got laid off he's with him every day and brings him random toys and his own socks he leaves around the house! He bonds with me most but in the end he bonded with all 3 in the house as his faves (he doesn't seem to like my cousin when he comes from college)

| As long as you put the time and effort into loving them they will bond with both of you. Max & Sasha both love Toni and myself (although I like to think they love me a little more!)

| It might take a little time, but he will bond with you. Dinky loves both me and DH. Some days DH is his sun and moon. Some days it is me. And most days, it is both of us. |

| I brought my Blazer home on a Monday. My husband didn't meet him until that Weds night, and only briefly. Husband wasn't around Blazer again for a week and a half and didn't pay attention to him for over a month. I feed Blazer and Buddy (our German Shorthair) and take them for walks. I bathe them and groom them and play with them. Guess who they love the most? MY HUSBAND!!!!!! Some times they'll choose me over him, but they know that he is the Alpha and they love being with him. With dogs, you just can't plan whom they will bond with the most.

| I adopted Milo---visited him every day @ the rescue for a week before being able to take him home. I'm the one (99% of the time) that takes him out to do his business, feed & walk him not to mention loving on him every chance I get. He has bonded mostly to me but it's clear he loves my husband too. I think somehow he realizes my husband has limitations that prevent him from doing all that I do. But the thing I find so strange is that whenever he feels afraid (storms, unusually loud noises, etc.) he goes to my husband. |

| Oh, and also, about my Blazer- I DELIVERED him! I literally pulled him out of his mother (he was backwards and stuck) and I have been with him all but maybe 5 entire days in his three plus years of life. But he still goes to my husband more often than to me. Spending the most time with a dog will not automatically make you the favorite, so don't worry about it, just love the pups as much as you can and relish in the love they give back.

YT 1000 Club Member | I have 3 Yorkies. Teek is 9 years old and I have had him for 9 months. Taking him in as an adult he bonded very strongly to me. He will not eat if I am not at home, even if the rest of my family is. I have done everything for him since the moment I brought him home. Rowan is mine and my husband's puppy. He is 6 months old. He adores me. He loves to be with me. When we go to bed though, Teek is at my feet and Rowan is laying at my husband's pillow waiting for him to get into bed. When my husband leaves for work in the morning Rowan climbs into his spot as soon as he leaves. He loves both of my teenagers and will go sit with them even when I am on the other couch. Raksha is technically my teenager daughters puppy. She sleeps with my daughter and goes places with her. She is a great puppy. She is Rowan's sister, so also 6 months old. She spends all day with me while my daughter is at school, so she loves me. Just last night she curled up in my son's lap and slept for an hour. The puppies love all of us. When my husband gets home from work all the dogs greet him at the door. He will scoop up the puppies and they will kiss and lick his beard. He loves it. Teek will greet him at the door but as soon as he pets him briefly he is back with me. he is my dog for sure. I think the puppy you just got will be able to love all of you. Whoever does the most with the dog is usually the one it is closest too, but not always. Good luck and just love the dog and it will love you back!

| When Zeus wants to play hide and seek and other games, my 14 year old son is his pick. When he's proud of something he did, my husband is his choice. When he wants to sleep, lay in a lap or be comforted, I am definitely his pick. He loves us all in different ways, and we all love him more than anything in the world. It is the greatest unconditional love imaginable! |

| Sure it's a great idea, and you'll be giving this pup a good loving home. You don't know where this baby can end up at if this lady does not want the pup to lick her son. Your daughter will have her puppy and you and the little Mrs will have yours. Thor is young and will accept another fur buddy, I suggest a meet and greet in a neutral area to see how this other dog gets along with Thor, even a meet on either ones front lawn. Both males must be neutered if not they will fight for domanancy. If the older one is ok with Thor, Go for it.
