| Yorkshire Terrier Monthly Blog Hi Everyone, I receive a monthly article about Yorkshire Terriers and I want to share it with anyone who might be interested. Last month they had some information on giving water to Yorkies and I know some of you wrote in asking about this subject. Well this month one of the articles is about the many moods of a Yorkie. Sound interesting? There are all sorts of good articles and so I thought I would give you the link to it and if you want you can subscribe to it. It does not cost anything to subscribe either. The link is: Yorkshire Terrier Blog - The Topic of the Month I hope you will go check it out and will enjoy reading it. Thank you

| If that article helped you Buddy Bear I am so glad for you. It has a lot of useful information on it and I was hoping it would be of use to folks on here. Thanks for letting me know you liked seeing it. |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | That was a very well written article, thanks for posting. I was trying to find out about the author/who wrote it, but there is no "about" page or anything like that....strange. Wonder who writes it...

| Hi Wylie's Mom, I just received an answer from the Yorkie monthly newsletter. No one in particular writes for the site. They have a team of persons who take turns writing articles. Hope this answers your query. |

| I like the articles but I fail miserably with these guidelines: Never sit on the floor with your Yorkie. If you are brushing the coat, cleaning the teeth or doing some sort of grooming task, you can kneel or place him on a table while you stand. I come home, lay on the floor and yell "Daddy's home!" and they climb all over me giving me kisses If you are sitting on a sofa or chair, your puppy or dog must remain on the floor and not be allowed onto the furniture with you. I sit in my recliner and Sasha sits on my chest, Max sits in my lap and we all take a nap. The puppy or dog is not allowed on anyone's bed; he must rest and sleep in his own bed. Do be sure that your Yorkie has a quality canine dog bed that is located in a safe and comfortable spot. They sleep with me every night. Oh well. I guess I'll just have to be the "bad daddy" because I am not changing these things.

| I don't think you are a bad daddy at all. I like all the things you say you do.I especially like how you come home and get on the floor with them and say "Daddy's Home" They love that and would not want you to stop. They love to be with you in your recliner or bed. Mine does not sleep with me but he is too little for that. These are guidelines and aren't a do or die thing. I don't think. But no doubt there are some things in some of the articles that will be quite helpful. So go on and keep being a bad daddy. |

| This was a great read Sherri, thanks for posting it! Lots of helpful info. I think if I would have applied more of these techniques in the early years Daisy would have known who was the boss a lot sooner. We have butted heads a few times but I think she now knows whose the boss! .... I think ... Well at least I "think" it's me. Haha

| I'm so glad you enjoyed the newsletter Jean. I think butting head with them comes with the territory. Joey should know who the boss is and "it's me,don't you know" says Joey. I let him get away with as little as I can. As little Rick Nelson said, I don't fool around, boy. ha ha |

| Interesting read. I do not agree with some statements. Buddybear has been very affectionate and more attentive since he has been allowed to sleep on the bed, where before he was put in his own area that is fenced off here in the house.....and he stretches out next to me while I'm watching tv or reading YT. If 'max' is a bad daddy, I'm a bad mommy and I'm not changing either. Lol |

| I agree with you Buddy Bear. If what you are doing works best then that is what you should do. The articles are written I am sure with the best intentions and I just wanted to share with you all in case it had any good suggestions or ideas that would be helpful. I did not agree with some things they wrote myself but heah, that does not make me a bad momma any more than it makes you or max bad parents. Just glad that you enjoyed reading it. That's why I sent the link.
