So ridiculous & I just realized that Betty's Teacups is in Canada, so the new USDA law (about imported pups having to be fully vaccinated & 6 months old) does not apply to her! This has gone to an all-time low, I HATE Paris Hilton now, my neutral feelings for her have now turned into full on rage!

I'm confused -- why wouldn't the new US import law apply to breeder/broker in Canada?

it does not apply to the US I wonder what regulations are in Canada. It will be interesting to see if a vet can confirm the age of that pup, but we will probably not ever here about that.

I bet Paris got the dog for free in exchange for advertising often "celebrities" like her are very cheap and trade on their "status" for freebies.

If we are talking about the same law -- the US law is for regulating the import of puppies/dogs into the US from any foreign country. A puppy coming from Canada to the US would be an import, so the law applies.

That's very interesting! Who knows, but I think Paris purchased this pup like she did all her other pups from pet shops. Her Mom does the same thing!

I get what you're saying now. U know what, I have no idea? I thought Paris flew to Canada to pick up Mr. Amazing...unless she had someone else do that for her. She can pay her way through anything.

I don't think it matters who actually transports the dog. An import is still an import. I don't know much about the new law, but a couple of Canadian breeders here were upset by it, so I think it does affect the sale of individual puppies to individuals in the US. I wouldn't be surprised that she found a way around it, or it wasn't enforced.

The dog that Pairs is shown holding does not have the kind of coat, eyes or bone structure that the fake in the other photo appears to have. I'm sure the one she is holding is freshly groomed and if we saw it as it is from day to day it would look like any other white Pom. White Poms seem to be very popular these days since they are not the traditional color but I'm sure they are going to be ultra popular now. Poor things.

I would love to see Paris's pup 6 months from now.

if you notice they talk about the price but I don't believe Paris actually came out and verified how much or if she paid for it, I doubt very much though that she would have paid $1,300.00 for some reason those that have tend to get the freebies

That's what I was thinking, they get nearly all of their clothes for free, these type of breeders often seek out celebrities and hope it's good for business. Obviously a good breeder would never do this.

I don't know why she photo shops them like that. I think the real puppy looks way cuter than the photo shopped version. I eyes make me think of alien eyes when I see it, scary looking. Oh, and the puppy has it's own twitter account so we can all see how the puppy is in 6 months. I would be interested to see too.
