Supporting puppy mills & puppy brokers. W/all that $$$, only if she had a kind heart & donated to rescues instead. Big sigh...maybe in her next life.

On FB (& probably in real life), so many people are either clueless or don't care where that cute puppy is coming from. They just want that 'teeny tiny micro teacup' puppy. Oh the horror, if they only knew where they really come from.

But you can help Hilton name the latest canine companion she’s adding to her pack. He comes in a less common Yorkie color – pure white. She posted his picture on her Instagram page, showing that the puppy could sit comfortably in the palm of a hand.


“Just ordered this adorable little baby from @BettysYorkies. Cannot wait to meet him! 😍🐶 What should I name this cute lil guy?” she captioned the picture.

Meanwhile, on Twitter she proclaimed her love.

Some suggestions were not so original: Snowball. On the other hand, that’s better than “Mr. Amazing.”
That’s the name he has on the website of Betty’s Tea-Cup Yorkies. The price Paris paid isn’t shown but other puppies on the page go for as high as $8,000.
Hilton, if you remember, is wild about her pooches, has owned multiple tiny dogs at a time, always had a Chihuahua hanging out of her bag. Now it will be a Yorkie.
As for a name: Puff Dogg isn’t taken.

The puppy looks like a pom or a maltese/pom to me. Yorkie is very low on the list of breeds I'd guess.

Um, is that white thing supposed to be a Yorkie? And how many dogs does a person need, sheesh.

That dosent even look like it's even a little bit yorkie to me and the eyes seriously should not look like that. She hords dogs and her staff has to clean up after lots of not potty trained or trained at all dogs. I feel bad for the dogs and wish there was a way to educate these celebrities but there just buying an assesory and the more they pay for it the better they think they are. It's frustrating!

That's a cute pup but I don't see any yorkie in him. Nose is way too short, the ears are too small, and of course the coloring.

I think the writer assumed it was a Yorkie bc it says 'Betty's Tea-Cup Yorkies'. That puppy she's actually getting looks like a Pomeranian.

Well...All I have to say is that Paris Hilton sure did not do any research because if she did she sure would not have purchase him from that breeder. He definitely doesn't look like a yorkie and he is just going to be an arm accessory for her. Hopefully she didn't waste her money (but then again I don't think she cares) and he will be healthy and live a long life. At least if he ends up not being so healthy she had the $$$ to take care of him. I counted 8 dogs in that pic. Soon to be 9. YIKES!

Wonders if Paris Hilton ever saw a puppy mill video...do you think she even questions where that cute puppy comes from?

I would bet money that she probably hasn't seen one because if she did she would not have bought that pup from that breeder. Shame on her!

I doubt she cares.

I don't think we should assume she doesn't care, before I got educated at Yorkietalk about puppymills and greedy breeders I had no idea why it was wrong to breed certain dogs together or what a breeder's goals should be. I thought breeding two cute dogs who had good personalities and were smart was a great goal. I didn't know that downsizing and breeding for popular characteristics (tiny nose, off colors) was harmful to the breed. It's not just Paris, many celebrities don't know much about dog breeding and choosing a good breeder because the GENERAL PUBLIC doesn't yet know about these things. Yorkietalk has educated many people and hopefully, they will continue to educate people on some of these issues. Before you can care, you have to be aware.

Yes, it is a Pom, not a Yorkie. The article was incorrect, but it is still sad. That poor puppy just looks weird to me with those big eyes. I feel sorry for him. Paris should not be able to own dogs that she doesn't even take care of. She doesn't care if they live long or are healthy. She wants something small and cute. If it dies, oh well, not like she can't afford to buy another one. Obviously, I am making assumptions, but I can't help but believe that this is true.

I think for a woman with her privilege and background, having had dozens of dogs over the years, I would assume that she knows where these dogs are coming from by now. I truly don't believe she cares. She wants her ittybittymicoteaspoonmunchkin puppy to show off and is willing to pay quadruple for them and then show them off and brag about where they come from... She had people freaking out on her back in 2006 over the origins of her dogs, I honestly do not believe that today she still is unaware of where her pups come from.

She just plain doesn't care. And it's really, really sad.
