Yorkie Yakker | Emotional service pet (ESA) Hello friends, I am looking into registering my phoebe to be my ESA service dog. I have found a couple websites where I can register, but I am unsure of the best way to register her. My doctor has written a note, about my struggles and how phoebe helps but I want to make sure where I register its legitimate. Any suggestions? Thanks everyone |

| Service dogs and emotional support dogs are two different things. Emotional support dogs are allowed in housing where pets are not allowed as well as you can have them on air planes. A service dog is a dog that does things to help you with your disability and can go any where. There is no actual service dog registry but i do not know about emotional support animals.

| you dont really need a "legitimate" registry...all you need to do is go on petjoy.com and order a service/emotional support tag(there are many options) and when you go out you dont really need a valid registry watever that is...you just need a tag and say she is a service dog i believe it all falls under one category with different sub categories...and since you have a doctors note if you fly with her all u need to do is fax it over to the airlines you dnt need to have a tag as long as they have the doctors note. It wouldnt hurt to have the tag as im not sure about all airlines, you most likely find out when you call them. |
