| I can only speak from the experience of a single yorkie home. Bentley is not yappy unless given a reason. Yes he will bark at the cat when he tries to play with her. But then don't all dogs. I can't even get him to speak at a command. I tell him speak and bark at him and he just cocks his head to the side and huh, are you crazy?

| My boys are quiet in the house unless the doorbell rings, and sometimes the phone. In the car, they are very yappy. They definitely encourage each other. If I had only one, I don't think they would yappy at all.

Two maybe the key as well. Just like kids....one gets to whining and the other one chimes in and it just escalates from there. And also there is the I can be louder than you game too. I would think multi dog members will probably reply more true than false.

| Cooper is not yappy at all, but he's only 5 months old so that might change. Right now he only barks when he poops on the potty pad. He wants to make sure he gets his treat!

| My little boy is yappy if the doorbell rings, even if the doorbell is on TV. Or if someone startles him. Or if he's playing. Or the wind blows. So, yeah. hahaha. Can't speak for all of them, but this is how mine is. =)

| Mandie is not a yapper at all. Now, if someone or something is outside and I have her out in the back yard, she will go to the fence and bark. It is very hard to get her to stop once she starts. I wouldn't classify her as yappy, though

| Roxy isn't yappy inside or out. She does bark and growls a little when she thinks she hears something on the front porch.Really the only time she yaps at me is when she knows I'm stirring something special into her kibble and she really wants me to hurry...lol. |

| My boy is not yappy whatsoever. In fact, he's pretty much a snob. My girl (Yorkie/Maltese mix) is yappy enough for both of them.

| Mine never barks and if she does its because something is normally wrong. My moms Yorkie barks some but not a whole lot and its not really yippie sounding. I get kinda upset with this statement because not all Yorkies are like that and they can be trained not to.
