| Are my puppies ears normal? My 15 week old yorkie, Tinkerbell, has very odd ears. I have tried taping them, however it doesn't seem to work. They flop right over her head rather then to the side. Has anyone expierenced this? Also, do you think they will eventually stand on their own? |

| I am not sure but I ave seen floppy ears on Yorkies as well as ears that stand up. Hopefully someone with more experience can give you a better answer.

| OMGoodness! Tinkerbell is so very cute even with floppy ears! Have you tried having the hair trimmed off the top 1/3 of her ears. It could be her hair that is holding them down. I know there are others that have done that with good results. As high as they are I would think tipping them might help. Another thing is, if she's teething, that can make her ears flop also. Try having them tipped and if that doesn't help, then it might be teething. Princess Sophie was still having baby teeth come in at 15 weeks. Sharp little buggers they are!! LOL Good luck!

| First, Tinkerbell is so cute! Her ears are normal. You can try to trim the tips to get the weight off from the hair, as mentioned above. And, yes..at 15 weeks old, she is still teething and will be for a few months..those ears will go up and down a few times probably due to the teething. I don't think you should worry about taping them just yet.

| Minnie's ears did this for a little bit. My groomer told me to massage them upward and it seem to speed up the process. In less than a week they went from floppy to standing up. Even then every once in a while the tip of one wouldn't stand quite up but now they stay up all the time. |

| I have never seen a Yorkie's ears tip quite like that. Usually people that are trying to get ears to stand shave the hair off the ear from at least half way down all the way to the tips. You might try that before tapping them. She is adorable! |

| I would trim them and then tape them up if you want them to stand... Either way, she's cute!

| Laddy's ears were like your babies when he was young. we shaved the top 3rd and taped them for 3 days and they have stood ever since.

| Thanks you guys for your input. I haven't shaved the top of her ears yet, but from the photo can you guys tell that she doesn't have much fur on her ears? Should I still shave what little hair she has on them or should it not matter? |
