| Sleeping through the night? Hello: My 4 month old is getting up 2-3 times during the night. She sleeps in her crate in our room and we she wakes up we take her to go to the bathroom (she always does even if it's just a tiny pee - but shouldn't she be able to hold it?) At what age did your yorkie start sleeping through the night? She also poos in the middle of night, every night!! Is this wierd?? Thanks! |

| You can manage (for the most part) your baby's potty schedule by monitoring her feeding. I don't deprive my Mason of water, but I don't feed him after 7pm. By the time he goes to bed around 11pm, he has peed and pooped and is ready to sleep through the night. When Mason was 4 months he used to sleep in a crate next to my bed too, and he would sleep through the night but used to wake me up 5:30am sharp everyday to go potty. Now that he is 8 months and sleeps with me in my bed, he is getting much better about letting his mommy sleep! |

| That would be easy, but she doesn't eat after 7pm - in fact she's usually done dinner by 6:30...and does a poo and multiple pees before bed time. A couple of people have suggested taking away her water but I don't want to do that... I'm sure she would never poo or pee in her crate...should I just ignore her crying?? (that would be really hard). Thanks. |

| I take away the water late at night. (sounds mean, huh?) I compare my puppy to a baby, you don't let kids who wet the bed drink late at night , so he's fine until we get up, at 6am. He gets fed and water all day.

| Frankie is going on ten weeks and has finally started to sleep through the night. I don't give him any water after 7:30-ish at night. |

| Hi. Daisy is almost four months old. She is getting better at holding it, but sometimes she will go poop in her kennel! (even if she has already made outside) I take her out often all day and night. I sometimes let her sleep with me and she seems to do well that way, but I don't know if I should let her get used to that. She loves her kennel. I thought they did not make in their kennels??? |

Daisy has never howled in her cage. I think your puppy is getting used to her new home. Don't give inot her crying! She'll only think she can do it again and you'll come get her. Let her be. The first few days Daisy made some noise and I told her "Daisy No" and she has never cried in her kennel since. Although, I do wake up on my own and take her outside. Give her some time. She'll adjust. | |

| First of all if you dont want your puppy in the habit of sleeping with you NEVER start lol. I made that mistake the first night I got Gracie I let her sleep in my bed because I didnt want her to be scared her first night alone and in a new enviroment! Ever since it has been a "living hell" to get her to sleep in her bed on the floor next to my bed lol. I tried putting my hand by her while she is on the floor but it only works for so long. She is 6 months old now and I got her at 8 1/2 weeks and ever since she has been bed bound in my bed and can I say a 6 pound dog is never thought to be a bed hog but I feel like I am sleeping with a Great dane! She is constantly moving and its usually into the middle of the bed so I either end up holding on for my life at the edge or waking her up and moving her. As far as pottying. Young puppies have to potty several times day or night they are almost like having a newborn baby. Up almost every 1 to an hour and 1/2 Gracie has grown out of the pottying phase. We go before bed and then when we get up in the morning |

| I hear ya. Luckily, I have no problems with her sleeping in her cage because when i first had her I put her in their every night, and ignored her whining. Now she is great about it. I only sometimes let her sleep with me just cause I want to be with her. I also got her to sit for me this week! It was very exciting! |
