First of all if you dont want your puppy in the habit of sleeping with you NEVER start lol. I made that mistake the first night I got Gracie I let her sleep in my bed because I didnt want her to be scared her first night alone and in a new enviroment! Ever since it has been a "living hell" to get her to sleep in her bed on the floor next to my bed lol. I tried putting my hand by her while she is on the floor but it only works for so long. She is 6 months old now and I got her at 8 1/2 weeks and ever since she has been bed bound in my bed and can I say a 6 pound dog is never thought to be a bed hog but I feel like I am sleeping with a Great dane! She is constantly moving and its usually into the middle of the bed so I either end up holding on for my life at the edge or waking her up and moving her.
As far as pottying. Young puppies have to potty several times day or night they are almost like having a newborn baby. Up almost every 1 to an hour and 1/2 Gracie has grown out of the pottying phase. We go before bed and then when we get up in the morning
