Zachary's Mom Donating Member | Zachary's Ears Just curious, does a Yorkie's ears EVER stay up without shaving the ears??? Once I shaved Zachary's, they have stood up beautifully. But today, they started drooping. So, out came the shaver. They look so cute with the long hair on them but I really want them to stand up. Louise and Zachary |

But, a question, too. How thick is a Yorkie ear when it is "too thick" to stand? Are the ears super thin like feline ears when they are 'correct' to stand? Also, how would a person tell if the ear leather was "broken"...or is this something a vet would have to determine? I see a lot about Yorkie ears standing, but not much about the actual 'science' of why they stand. Just curious...no biggie.
